STD's ... how early do you suggest sending them out?

I am getting married in September of 2005. How soon should I send out the STD's?

I would send them out either with your holiday cards or right afte the new year unless you are getting married on Labor day weekend...then send them right away.

I sent mine about 6 mos in advance. We dont really have any oot'ers I just wanted to send them

we sent ours out a year in advance but mostly because its a holiday weekend

i sent them out about 7 mos in advance, and i was just starting to get a few questions about rooms, etc from OOTers. since then i've gotten a lot of thank you's, they really have helped folks plan their travels.

I had a lot of out of town guests, so I sent STDs 10 months in advance, then 7 months in advance I sent out a newsletter I wrote up along with LI travel brochure and hotel info.

I'm getting married in September as well...I just got my save the date cards in the mail, so as soon as I figure out how i want to send them I am sending them out..probably right before thanksgiving..so thats 10 months in advance!

6-8 months is what I typically hear from ppl - but I did once get one a year in advance!

we're sending ours out only 4 months early, we don't have to many out of towners and everyone else knows the date.

We have a lot of people who will be flying in from OOT, so I'll be sending mine out in the next 2 weeks or so (as soon as they arrive)--around 8 months before the wedding.
