I finally get the last of the addresses I need from my mom and she yells at me that I am sending my STD out too early and should wait till after my cousins wedding in November. Sending them out now is 10 months before. Do you think I should wait till after her wedding. We have quite a few OOT guest. TIA

IMO, its not too early at all. Your wedding is 10 months away and you have OOT guests! I don't think waiting until after your cousins wedding in November would make a difference in anyone 'saving the date.' I sent mine out 12 months in advance because 50% of our guestlist is OOT

You should be fine 8 - 9 months in advance, that is plenty of time for out of town guests to make arrangements. Holding the Save The Date a month or two won't make a huge difference.

I think right now is a perfect time to send them out. After November you are hitting the holiday month and you know how mail can get around then!!! 9-10 months I read is usually the standard for sending them out!

i dont think its too early at all... i would have sent mine out already but i'm waiting until after my epics so i can use them... i think anywhere between 8-10 months is fine

I definitley don't think its too early. I think if you have a lot OOT then you sending them out now will give them enough time to plan for your special day. Dont worry its perfect timing, IMO

I think you should send them now. It's not 'too' close to your cousin's wedding, and it's a good idea to do it before the holiday mail rush. If you waited until after her wedding, that's what you'd be dealing with.
I just sent mine out this weekend, but had intended on doing it earlier. I had to wait bc of my RH switch.

i think now if perfectly fine! what does your cousin's wedding have to do with yours? either way your guests will find out you are having a wedding whether its before or after the cousins wedding. you're probably excited to mail them out so go mail em!!

i think its never too early for that!!! unfortunately mine aren't made yet and my wedding is 8 months away - and i feel like its gonna be too late if i wait much longer... so i think now is a perfect time - its better to give people more notice!!

If your cousin's wedding wasn't in November I would say to wait the few extra months, but I wouldn't send them out around the holiday time!

I understand why your mom is asking you to hold off. But if you have a lot of OOT guests, I'd suggest you send them out sooner rather than later. 10 mos. is pretty standard IMHO.

so if you wait til after the wedding, it will be the end of november-ish, making it about 8 months? i guess its fine, but personally id rather receive it now, because it would give me more time to get airfare and everything..
