Im thinking maybe I want to send out STDs. I was going to put them in Christmas cards this year when I send them out. You think thats lame? Also, did any of you do your STD's yourself? Can you post pics of your STD's even if you didnt do it yourself and wehre you got them from?

We did them ourselves. We ordered business cards from Vistaprint and then bought the magnets in Staples. We stuck the cards on the magnets, made a flyer of our hotel info and sent them out. Sorry I don't have any pics.

First, I sent out DIY engagement announcements. They were really simple, I wrote it all out in MS Word and added a nice pic of the 2 of us. Then I got nice paper from Wal-Mart and printed them all out.
The STDs, I also made up in MS Word and included a lil heart graphic. I bought business card paper at Wal-Mart and printed them out. Then I went to AC Moore or Michael's (can't remember which) and got a large magnet sheet. I cut it down to business card size and then glued them all together.
I sent them out with our Christmas cards. So to answer your question, no I don't think it's lame at all. I think it's efficient, why buy more stamps??

Ours will be! My sis/co-MOH is a graphic designer. I can't wait to take my engagement pics! She'll incorporate one or two of them. No idea what the theme or layout will be- we haven't really talked about it yet. Guess we'll know once we see the pics!

I'm not sure how to post pictures, but I did my own STD. I bought parchment paper at Office Max and used MS Word. I then scrolled them up, tied them with jute from AC Moore & stuffed them in little bottles with sand & shells for a 'message in a bottle' look. I found a company that would do it for you but they wanted $5 per STD so I did it myself!!!
We are getting married on/near/at the beach (we also met on the beach & got engaged on the beach), so I thought it was fitting.

yup...Fh and I ordered magnets and postcards from vistaprint.com
100 postcards and 20 magnets came to 40$- we put one of our e-pics on them w/ our date- I am very happy with the product!
