STD's

How far in advance did you send out your save the date's?

In a week and a half I will be at the 1 year mark. My future sister-in-law is making the save the date magnets and cards. I had them all done and then noticed there was a typo on the card so she's re-printing them but she hasn't finished yet. Am I really behind?

I don't tihink your far behind..I don't plan on sending out my STD until 10 months before the wedding.

I think as long as you have them sent out by the end of June...you'll be fine.

With our wedding being a holiday weekend we are sending them out a year in advance - even a little more more then a year (like a week or 2).

So I think if you send them out like 8-10 months before you should be good.

I read 6-9 months somewhere, but I think it really depends on the time of the year and how far your guests live. I just ordered mine today (yay!!!!) so they should be here in about 3 weeks and I will probably send them as soon as I get them addressed. Hope that helps.

you aren't behind at all! I haven't even had mine made up yet and I am a day before you! I am waiting till I get my e-pics taken (tomorrow) and get them back and I am doing magnets with our picture too.

I am sending them about 8-9 months out.

the earliest theyre supposed to go out is 1 year in advance and thats really only if your wedding falls on a holiday/destination wedding/lots of OOT guests.... others wise i think between 6-9 months is standard

i sent mine out 8 months before my date

your not behind at all. you can send them out anytime between 12 months before up to 9 months before the wedding....

im sending mine 6 month before the date
then the invites 3 months

theknot.com says they arent really needed unless you are doing a destination wedding, but i like having them

i am still waiting for my moms list and I thought FMIL was bad so hopefully by the end of this month early next month they will be out so thats what 9-10 months before.

We haven't even made ours yet and I'm at before you..so unless your on a holiday weekend I agreee that 8-10 months is good

I was going to send them out a year in advance...but now I think i'm gonna wait until January. So like 8 months in advance. I will send hotel stuff with them as well.
