Step on up! Pick a house...any house!

Ok guys...let's dream a little.

Here's your task: Pick a home you'd like to purchase from Realtor.com . (Money is no object.)

Something to take into consideration: you're not just buying the home, but the location too. So don't just pick out a home and say 'I want this home, but on the water!' If ya' want a home on the water...find one!

Nothing on realtor but I will gladly take these:

$2.15M

or I could even live with this:

$1.4M

or this:

$1.45M

Stef, would you rent the other floors out or make it one big home for you and your hubby?

If money were no object, I would not rent out but have my brother live in one of the apartments and maybe use the other as a guest house :D

What about you?

Stef,
Oooh...I like the decor of the 'cheaper' ones.

I'd be happy with any waterfront property in Massapequa, not Canal, but water front.

My friend owns one and you can see Jones Beach Theatre & hear the concerts from his yard, he can even fish from his yard. And the inside is just AMAZING!!!! Heated marble floors in bathroom etc.

Now thats for me!!

hahaha - did you see the TAXES too?!?!

Re: Step on up! Pick a house...any house!

The kicker about the taxes on these homes, especially the older ones, aren't even accurate, that's what the owners are currently paying, once sold, I'm pretty sure it's reassessed, and they could go way way way up (I may be off on this, but it just can't be possible to pay $9,000 in taxes in Old Brookville, there's a catch).

(I was refering to the home Jenny pointed out...those taxes are ridiculous, I live much further east and pay a heck of a lot more, and I haven't even been reassessed for all the work that was done,,,YIKES)

The cheaper homes are probably a little nicer but I think the $2M one is on a better block.

Kathy, I like to pick up the Daniel Gale Homes paper at the supermarket all the time. John and I have our 'wishful thinking & dreaming' moments
