Step on up! Pick a house...any house!

Original post by Jenny5150

Ok guys...let's dream a little.

Here's your task: Pick a home you'd like to purchase from Realtor.com . (Money is no object.)

Something to take into consideration: you're not just buying the home, but the location too. So don't just pick out a home and say 'I want this home, but on the water!' If ya' want a home on the water...find one!

Kathy, the taxes on the one I posted are at $33k now. Pocket change!

I'll still take it.

I know....I read the total estimated monthly payment!!! I was going to say...something is very wrong about that one....I don't think anyone pays $9,000 for taxes! My bad!

Kathy, you read right...the listing says $9k. Actually $8k.

Yeah, I always pick up a copy of North Shore Real Estate brochures when I am in the supermarket. I always tell my hubby so close, yet so far out of our reach (price wise!).

I'll take any house on the water in Oyster Bay Cove or Center Island.... I'll be back with a picture soon.

I'll take anything that has a name to it!! Right now our current house is called 'Sweet Disaster'

Thats one good thing about living in an old house, my taxes are practically nothing. Like 2K/year.

My dream home!!!

If memory serves, I actually swam in that pool! This is located where I grew up, and the owner was never around so she rented the apts (maids quarters) out to local cops I was friends with - and we hung out there occasionally!

Does $29.5M sound about right to you?! I can't even fathom........

ahhh - check out the virtual tour of that house I posted - incredible. I remember thinking in that pool, that life doesn't get much better than this!

The owner is the wife of a former Met's owner - he passed away yrs ago and she barely lives there now....what a shame!

Teri I feel sick

WOW! I cannever imagine that $$ no!

Re: Step on up! Pick a house...any house!

I was just wondering - in all seriousness, WHO could really afford that? Not to mention, the maintanence, and TAXES!!!!!!!!! $116K! ANNUALLY

It has been on the market for a while - I remember seeing it advertised in the local paper about a year ago. It also needed some remodeling from what I remember, but location is good enough for me

Teri,
she's single and get's to meet many of the single male owners. She hates her job b/c of all the driving and dealing with the traffic. (She often has to go out east and then drive to Nassau.)

Here's mine...
