I was in high school/college being lectured using power point.
I student taught in a class where the 3rd grade teacher put the morning message on power point slides.
I couldn't do it.

I am so addicted to them....I am teaching health for 2 periods and I use pictures and even clips of commercials to teach with. I think that it is a great tool
I was asking because I wanted to see how long it took some of you to do a lesson with it (creating it)

i think its great and can be used at any grade level, however, i cant imagine telling some of my teachers to use it!! they get stressed about everything!!!

that is so true. My school wants us to begin using Smart Boards but I coach so I want there for the instructional meeting so I am missing out on that one.

the smart boards are used in grades 7 and 8 in my building i supervise grades PK - 2 and all special ed to be honest, i unfortunately dont have a lot of time to spend with the upper grades but i think they like them

To be honest with you I worked my way up for a year as a TA and proved myself to my dept. head, principal and head of Spec Ed.
I did have to start low but some people get the job right away.
Thats why I am doing PPT so that I can stay on top of what new graduates are doing.
