To be honest with you I worked my way up for a year as a TA and proved myself to my dept. head, principal and head of Spec Ed.
I did have to start low but some people get the job right away.
Thats why I am doing PPT so that I can stay on top of what new graduates are doing.

i got mine paid for from my former district, (28) they only accepted 14 people paid for my masters still paying undergrad though - lol

Same here.
I tried to get a job in NYC (Queens area is closest) but it was difficult. I always got emails from teacher fellows but I already have my MA so I didnt qualify.
I hope to stay where I am but in the past few years the budgets out here havent passed.
I will have to check that out.
Do you miss teaching?

i do miss teaching but i have a great relationship with my teachers and i go in and do read alouds, mini lessons, etc
