sticky invite situation, need advice

sticky invite situation, need advice

really need some advice here...

i invited a couple who confirmed they are coming to our wedding. this couple had borrowed money from my dad and they haven't been paying but i still invited them because they did not do anything bad to me. however, i was annoyed at one time when my dad told me that one of that couple said something disagreeable about me & FI's close family friend (let's call her B). i told this to friend B because i would want her to do the same if someone not right is being said about me.

fast track to a couple of days ago, this same couple got into an argument with our friend B which we found out their indebted to as well. it got to a point that i was dragged in the middle of it since i was the one who told B about those negative comments. NOW i found out, that the couple reached out to MY dad about it (why??? ). seriously, me & my dad should not even be in the middle of this issue.

anyway... not to divulge any more unnecessary info relating to my question...out of respect for me & FI's close friend B & because i did not appreciate that my dad had to be involved in their issue: is it okay to take back their invitation?

did they seriosuly think they could talk shtt about you to your dad and he wouldn't tell you?

i dont know what was said or what it was about.

maybe you should send them a letter or email saying...

'before this gets out of control... let's settle this'

and see how they respond and if they're a-holes... then screw them. dont invite them.

if you don't think you can resolve this issue and really don't want anything to do with these people ever again and are willing to kick them out of your lives forever, then you can un-invite them.

but i would try to avoid that, if possible

Uninvite them. If they're as big of a pair of a-holes as they seem they probably won't show up or will show up without a gift anyway...

just put it out there, 'lets settle this now, what's your issue, stop involving me and my family and friends, stop talking shiit and stop being a mooch!'
okay maybe don't say that... but still ask what their issue is and try and resolve it, if there's no resolve, then there's no reason to invite them, tell them you're tired of their shiit and that its your day and you'd rather NOT share it with them.
