Still can't figure out what to get the Dads!

We talk about this all the time and I have read all the threads.... but I still can't decide! And FH is no help either

I know we can always get FFIL a Home Depot gift card - but that's so boring.

I can get my father a Harley Davidson GC - but boring also!

FFIL is into old cars, but FMIL won't let him display anything in the house, so that's out. He likes to work in the yard, but so blah. They have a beach house, but you can only get so much stuff for there.

My father is a HUGE HD fan and likes all the gimicky stuff and toys, but I haven't found anything interesting.

Anyone have any interesting ideas/suggestions?! I'm so stumped! lol

Those all sound like great gifts and I went through the same thing when I wanted to give gifts to my mom & fmil BUT thats all stuff you can give them for xmas & bdays. I think you should keep it wedding related - JMHO

For your dad what about one of those picture frames that have a pic of your dad with you as a baby and then leave the other side empty so you can put a wedding picture of just you and your dad.

A nice bottle of liquor always works. Cufflinks, cigars, and watches work also.

Mens gifts are limited...I am just giving my parents a gift together becasue my father is impossible to buy for. A romantic weekend away.

Thanks girls... I wanted to get the dads something extra because they are the ones paying for the wedding. My mom can't and my FMIL, well, that's another story.

I got the moms a nice frame and hankerchief and keychain photo holder. But I want to get the dads something nice.

FFIL always gets liquor from FFIL for Christmas/Hannukah and he doesn't smoke.

My dad gave up drinking and smoking.

Ugh - I keep thinking if I keep talking about it something will pop up - but so far no good

Well, the other thing is that the gifts you were thinking of might be boring to you, but they might really like them. Think of the people who ddon't buy from the registry....they think it's a good gift, but is it something you really want? If your FIL would love a gc to Home Depot, I say go with that and save yourself the difficulties. Diitto for your dad's gift.

I'm having the same trouble. I had been thinking of getting my dad and ffil cigars, but I'm not certain. I did like the suggestion of a getaway! I will have to look into that. You girls have such great ideas.
