still confused re: favors

my fiance wants something 'consumable.'

my FMIL says it would be nice to have something that is a 'permanent reminder of the day'

I went with m and m's. Half the time people will lose it or not take it. I say go with consumables

I vote consumables

Most people toss those 'permanent reminders' or don't even take them

I wanted to do CRUMBS cupcakes, but we ended up doing porcelain dishes

i def vote for consumables...
if you want to get a favor that will be a keepsake it will end up costing you a lot of $$$ bc realistically no one is going to keep inexpensive pickup object forever. and something you may like people may hate. but everyone loves to eat

i guess i will be the only one to say go with something permanent. i like having a reminder of someone's wedding. and most of the time, its something that i use.
when FSIL got married she had beautiful serving dishes. so its something i still use.
its up to you and what you choose

We did a pair of champagne glasses in a box. It's somethign you can keep and yet it helps you consume!

IKEA has sets of 6 glasses for $4.99.

I am so excited about this lol I couldn't think of what to do and was going to do crumbs but would cost arouns 600-$700 for them. I think I may go with the wine glasses.

I ended up going to pick up the glasses myself b/c DH had to work but it was a good thing b/c I loaded up every spot in my car! I have a Rav4 so it's not exactly a tiny car. I'm not from LI so this was a trip for me to make on my own but was well worth it!

Def. consumables! As the owner of several useless permanents (but I don't have the heart to throw out) I much prefer consumables.

We're doing a candy bar Who doesn't like candy?!

We decided on giving jams per couple that are made on Long Island! (Figured it kinda fits the fall theme as well)

Another option I considered was mini seasonal pies (apple, pecan, etc) There is a place in the city called 'The Little Pie Company'

Just some ideas!

Do chocolate covered oreos! So amazing I was at two weddings that had those. Delish!
