Re: still debating about veil
No blusher. Then again I'm wearing a mantilla veil. But, even if I was wearing a regular veil, I wouldn't do a blusher. For me, everytime I tried one on with a dress when I was looking, it just wasn't me....not to mention that it was almost stifling, like I felt claustrophobic when I had the blusher over my face. Now that could be my own bizarre issue but I just decided the blusher was not for me.....

I dont think my veil has a blusher! But I decided against it any way. I dont think I would have felt comfortable with it

I don't think it's outdated so much as it's becoming more 'acceptable' to NOT do it....like lots of things....like not having a bouquet toss or garter throw, or not having the entire BP sit at a dais with you. Or things that it is 'acceptable' to do now, like seeing each other beforehand, etc. So while it may be more phased out, I don't think it's outdated per se....
hope that helps.

i did and i'm very happy that I did. It helped a lot with my nerves of walking down the aisle to all the attention...

Re: still debating about veil
i am probably not wearing it..well as of now. and i think its because i usually see pictures of brides without it
My mom always pictured me walking down the aisle with the blusher and my dad being able to lift it over my head lol
but i think i am uncomfortable walking down the aisle with the blusher on
i think you should do what you always thought about and dreamed about doing!!!

Re: still debating about veil
I am doing a blusher but I want to see if they can make it so that it's on velcro or something so I can take it off after the ceremony without messing the veil up.

Re: still debating about veil
i was originally a no on that, but the woman in the bridal store started talking about my dad lifting it right before he gives me away while we were buying my dress and my dad started tearing up, so that changed my mind.
ETA: it's removable though, so it's coming off right after the ceremony.

Re: still debating about veil
I'm definitely doing it...I debated it for a little while because I too didn't think anyone did it anymore. However, i'm very traditional and i have always envisioned walking down the aisle with the blusher and my father lifting it for me before giving me away. I know it's so cliche but i'm such a sappy mush when it comes to this stuff :)

Re: still debating about veil
Im definately doing one... i think its the most romantic thing, and is so 'WEDDING-Y' my problem is when do i let him lift it... Right before the kiss? or when my mom delivers me to the altar? ive seen it done both ways and i dunno which i like better. Decisions decisions does this ever get easier?
