if your ring is insured, do you plan on having it insured forever?

YES!!!! my FH insured my e-ring before he proposed!!!!!! You should insure it!

INSURE! INSURE! INSURE! And also have your appraisal updated every five-ten years or so.

FH wouldn't leave the jeweler until the insurance company faxed them proof of insurance! But I totally think it depends on the value of the ring. I know someone that insured a 2k ring. By the time you pay a couple hundred a year to insure it you could just buy a new one!

ABSOLUTELY. If you have homeowners you can add a rider policy to it for your Ering. If not there are jewelry insurance out there. Be sure to get an actual jewelry appraisal for what the ring is worth, all the necessary information such as metal and class of diamond with all your C levels. That way, god forbid anything happens you get a equal product back. Send in your diamond certificate if you got one.
