I just can't decide. I was all set to go with Arcadia (in westcherster) I love everything they do & they actually gave me a reasonable price. But I left two messages for the owner who I spoke with & he never got back to me. I don't want to give a ton of $ to a place that won't even call back. I went to flowers by brian, in mineola, & they seemed good, but a little more expensive. Should I just book them since it's getting so close or try a few more places. Has anyone used them? I also tried to set up an appointment with dalsimer & no one called me back from there either. It's like these places are so busy thy don't even want your business. I'll take any suggestions you girls may have. Thanks!
Definitely check out Flower Michele! Their pricing is great, and John is awesome!

Re: still haven't booked a florist
i've been reading on the boards lately that a lot of florists are taking extra long to get back to people. maybe it's a busy season for them. may and june are big wedding months.

Re: still haven't booked a florist
Remember last Sunday was mother's day -- one of the biggest days for florists. And as another poster said, May and June are big days for weddings, communions, etc. I might give the Westchester florist the benefit of the doubt and call one more time. If he replies to your third call and sounds sincerely apologetic for having ignored the previous two, I'd call it water under the bridge.

Re: still haven't booked a florist
I am using Flowers By Brian-yes they are expensive but Brian does beautiful work and really listens to what you want and then runs with your ideas. I spoke with him a year ago explaining what FH and I wanted for CPs and when I went in last week he made a beautiful CP-better than I could of imagined!! I highly reccomend him! (a few pics in my album)

Re: still haven't booked a florist
it is a really busy time of year for florists, so be a bit patient. Call or visit early in the week.

You have plenty of time don't make a hasty decision just because you think you need to. Like the other ladies said last week would have been a crazy week for florists

I'm using Verbena Designs and she is awesome. I highly recommend her. But, as another poster said, this is a really busy time of year for them so they might be slow to get back to you.

if you have a better feeling about flowers by brian and can afford the higher price, go with them. Trust your gut!
