Ok, time is flying by and we still haven't booked a honeymoon. As most of you know, we don't like to fly and we only have five days for our honeymoon so we really don't want to have a long drive.
Have checked into Poconos (don't really like the resorts where you have to eat with other couples), Montauk, Salem, etc.
Please advise of any place you have been to recently that's within 1, 2 or 3 hour drive from Long Island that is clean, comfortable and not crazy expensive that we can just relax, have some good meals and maybe have a few things to do nearby.
I really appreciate it ladies-I know alot of you have already given us some great ideas-just trying to narrow it down.
Thanks again!!

My friends from MD Honeymooned in Maine. Big house golfing and spas....
FM if you want more details.
Maine is great, too. I didn't mention it because it is kinda far, and you said you wanted to go somewhere tops 3 hours away ... but Portland is great (only an hour from portsmouth, so you could do both ... ) and really great. I know an amazing seafood restaurant in Portland if you go. And a great place for breakfast in Portsmouth.
Not a bad idea if you are willing to drive a few more hours. I just went to a town about an hour north of Portland & stayed on the lake & I have to say it was really relaxing & absolutely gorgeous! If you are willing to fly (which I did) it's only about 1-1 1/2 flight to Portland from NY.
