I am ready to elope....I am still looking for that perfect venue and we are having so much difficulty. My fiance and I both want a venue that doesn't feel like a catering hall. We originally wanted a barn wedding, but abandoned that idea once we realized how costly it was. We have an approximate guest list of 200 (huge families), so we need to keep the cost to 100 per head (w tax etc). I am going to look at Coindre Hall and De Seversky, but the prices I was quoted are out of budget and I don't think they negotiate. I am so stressed and ready to give up....I never realized wedding planning would be this hard.

what about a vineyard out east??? My neighbor was going to get married at Martha Clara's vineyard and when i looked it up online, it looked 'barn' like....

Did you try the Bourne Mansion with Lessings? That does not look or feel like a catering hall. Also, try vineyard caterers, east wind, venetian yacht club.

Did you try Majestic Gardens?
If you're open to an out of state wedding... try The WoodWinds in Branford, CT. That's where mine is.

the meadow club of port jeff!! hey are amazing and it looks like a cottage but its big. i have 160 guests and am paying roughly 100 pp on a sat in oct.
