I haven't been on the boards in so long. Mainly because this site was stressing me out and I was getting overwhelmed with all of the things I needed to get done and so many others had done.
Now I'm at the 9 month mark and I don't know what to do next. So far I have: 1. Booked hall 2. Ordered and mailed STDs 3. Confirmed that I'll be getting my dress made 4. Picked my MOH and BM
I don't know what to do next. Can someone tell me what things I should do next (in order of importance)? Or am I so late with everything that I need to do it ALL!?!?
Please help. I've tried to to do list on the site but I don't even know how accurate it is. I'm so sad

You need to start booking your vendors because they start to book a year in advance. Florist DJ or Band photos video shoes make up and hair veil and headpiece chair covers favors wedding jewelry invites limos
don't go crazy you still have time. Pace your self and book who you really want Im looking for a wow factor with my vendors. If they cant wow me I don't want them. And trust me I still have 1 million things to do and vendors to book. good luck

your dress should start to be designed and be measured.
your florist
your photo and video
your music
your transportation
those are your major vendors.

Thanks Ladies! I have to get FH on board to help out more. He's going to focus on photographer but I need more help. I know he'll do it if I nag...uh...I mean...ask.

Definitely do photo/video next. I think florists, band/dj, and limos are the easiest especially if you know what you want already and just need to worry about service and pricing.

i would do photo and video and DJ your pics and video you'll have after the wedding so you'll want to get a good photographer and video person.....and DJ/band is importnant because they keep the party going

I know it gets stressful but don't feel bad -- I am only a few weeks after you and I am not that far ahead in the process.
Start with your big vendors:
Band/DJ Photog/Video
If you have a lot of oot guests then I would contract your hotel and get that info out to them.
Also try not to visit TOO many vendors. do some research online and try to narrow it down to a few.
I am in the process of looking for a photographer and I had a list of about 12 I wanted to meet with and FH narrowed it down to 5 based on what he saw online.

Don't be sad. I know the feeling because I took a break from this board too. Don't get me wrong...I love this site. But in the beginning it was stressing me out. I think I was overwhelmed.
My wedding is about a week before yours and I think you are in a pretty good place. I would say do photography and DJ next.
I still have a lot to do too but I decided to stop stressing and try to enjoy it as much as I can. You should also block hotel rooms too if you need them.
