I have wanted to do the whole Brazilian thing for a while, but I am kinda hung up on a couple of things:
1) Is the process completely sanitary? I always worry about stuff like that, especially when it concerns such intimate parts of the body… 2) Are there any medical complications? I’m sure I sound like a nut, but I get the feeling that we have hair in certain places for a reason… 3) Does it itch at all when it grows back in?

You have to figure that the waxer has done this type of waxing thousands of times, so she is probably not judging you on what you look like 'down there.' It does not itch when the hair grows back. If you decide to get a Brazilian wax, I wouldn't go to the cheapest place to do it - shell out some money because it is such an intimate part of your body and you don't want to mess around with it.
if there is a 'tongue depresser' in the wax walk away!!! that is UNSANITARY...for any part of your body...
make sure they use a fresh, new one for you

Go to Completely Bare, it's in the city. They are supposed to be very good and very reputable.
As for medical - they say we have the hair there so that 'nothing foreign' can get to the genitals......which is ironic when you think about it.....but I think if you have a 'airline strip' then it should still do it's job in that aspect. I think?
And you'd think it would itch but it doesn't. That is because it's a new hair coming in, not stubble, which is hair cut off at an angle. That's where the itch comes from.
But get Bikini Zone, which can be found in pharmacies where shaving stuff or delipatories can be found. It's a gel that you put on after waxing or shaving and it numbs the skin a bit afterwards and it's an antiseptic too. It helps with bumps. Just don't get it too close to the genitals, it will sting! ouch!
