stockpiling shoppers
Re: stockpiling shoppers
I don't stockpile more than 2 or 3 on toothpaste because there are coupons all the time. I cut out the coupons in case there's a really good sale, like triple coupons, but end up throwing a lot of coupons out since they seem to be in the paper every couple of weeks.

IMO you can never have too many of the essentials. For instance, this week at Waldbaums Colgate was on sale- I think it was 2 for 5.00. I had 2 coupons for 1.00 and then they double. So I got 2 tubes of the toothpaste I like for 1.00 . I can't pass that up- But when my stockpile is too large I become more discriminating- brands, prices, etc... But I love the thrill of getting a great buy!

at last count, i had 7 mentadent's and 2 tubes of colgate, unopened!! there is an awesome sale on aquafresh at stop-n-shop (2 for $3, plus a $1 coupon - double that - 2 tubes for $1). i had to physically stop myself from buying anymore!! our linen closet is starting to look like a Costco!!! i figure the toothpaste sales come often enough, that i should get through some of these before i buy more.

I usually keep one extra at home and thats it. But I don't normally purchase them for less than a $1. We simply don't have space.
