Ok stole from the 08 broad. Did you FH ask your parents if it was ok to marry their daughter?
My FH asked my dad and he didnt know what to say and then my dad gave the phone over to me Mom and then my mom said yes. LOL it was so cute my mom said.

He asked my mom first then I think somewhere along the line asked my dad.
Yeah he asked my parents. And he bought them a bottle of really nice wine.

Yes He asked my dad.... on christmas eve... now that I think back,,, they were both acting wierd that night.

Yes he did. He came to my house one night while I was at work and asked my mom and then he asked my stepfather over the phone. I think it is so cute when the guy asks the parents.

yes he did... and my dad being the NYC School Dean of course grilled him for like 20 minutes and scared the crapola out of him, but we're still gettin hitched so i dont think it went that badly. hahaha

Yes FH asked my dad but they both kept it a secret from my mom...they knew my mom would be more than ecstatic about us getting engaged (I sometimes think my mom likes FH more than me ) so they wanted her to be surprised when I told her!
My father passed away 5 & 1/2 years ago so FH spoke with my fathers friend who is like my god father and they had a long conversation!!

Mine is pretty funny.... I had a bunch of people over one night to go in the pool and FH was staying with my dad helping him fix something and he wasnt in the pool with us.... later i found out that my dad told him 'you do not need to ask permission, just give her the ring already!' That was w/o FH even saying anything to him.... he just laughed it off and then the next day he called my dad and said that he wanted to take my dad out for either dinner or drinks and my father said that he was stupid to spend his money on my father and that my dad already said yes the night before and told him to just do it already... and then he told FH 'Welcome to the Family!'
FH had the ring for 2 months b/4 he asked my dad... he was just waiting for the opportunity to ask him....

I guess he kind of did...my parents helped him pick out my ring. They had looked for weeks before he finally found the one. Also he had suprised me with a trip to disney to propose and then 2 weeks after that he took me on a 9 day cruise...so yeah they were in on all the planning....
oh how i wish i could do that all over again

my fh sort of did..... we have been living together for 3 1/2 years and ti was a given we would get engaged, just trying to pay off some bills first. My aunt told him that she had a ring that she wanted me to have and that my mom had it. SO when the time came he had to ask my mom for the ring and he said that they talked for like a half hour and he said my moms house was 100 degrees and this was in the winter and my mom is a cheapo and never has the heat above 68!!!!

My fh asked my Mom and my Dad if he could ask me to marry him. He came over one day when I wasn't home and he sat down with both my parents and talked to both of them and my parents said yes. I thought that was very sweet.

I didnt know that he did until after the fact. He went to my Dads house and asked permission and my Dad said 'It would be an honor to have you as my Son-In-Law' Isn't that ADORABLE!? When my Fiance told me that I started to cry.
AND, he didn't need to ask my Mom, we have been joking for the last 2 years (we've been together for 4.5 years) about me being in diapers again before he would be ready to propose lol

I used to work on Saturdays and he went to my parents house one saturday and asked them. I always wondered if he would do the whole sit down thing and I couldnt believe he did. I think its cute!
