1. How long did you date before you got engaged?
About a month shy of 4 years.

2. Did you get the ring you wanted?
I got a better one!!! FH definitely outdid my dream ring

3. Was the proposal a complete surprise?
Yes! We had just moved in together so I knew it would eventually happen. I honestly thought it wasn't going to happen for another year.

4. Do you wish you had a bigger/smaller diamond? If so How big or small?
No. Its perfect!

5. Did you cry when he proposed?
No I cursed like a sailor!

6. Was the proposal romantic or creative? Explain how if you'd like.
We were in our apartment getting ready to go to his parents for Sunday dinner in November 11th, 2007. I was sitting on our loveseat, when he turned off the football game, took my laptop from me and starred at me for about 5 minutes. It freaked me out. He just kept smiling and kissing my hand. He started to speak and at first I honestly thought he was breaking up with me, so I started to mentally plan his death. =) Then I realized what really was going on that I was just trying to breath. I didnt hear 90% of it. lol.

These last four years have been incredible. We are like two puzzle pieces that just fit together. I love you more than words can say. You are everything to me. You have made me so happy. You make me smile. Every time I think of you it puts a smile on my face. You have made me a better man. From the moment you put makeup on me at New Year's eve I knew you were the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. Anyone who could survive my family and on top of it put makeup on me was definitely for me. I knew that next morning that you were the one. I want to have kids with you. I want to raise a family with you. I want to hold grandchildren with you and spoil them with you. I want to grow old with you. Since this apartment is where we took the first step together on this next stage of our relationship, I figured it only appropriate to take the next step.

My response was 'are you sh*tting me' (My mom must be so proud. haha!) I finally said YES. Hug. Kiss. Kiss. Kiss. Hug. We went to his parents' house, where he planned a surprise party with a handful of his family, a bunch of friends and some of my family.

7. Where do you want to go for your honeymoon, and how soon after your wedding?
We are going to Disney World and leaving 2 days later.

8. Are you buying his wedding band for him?
Yeah and he bought mine. I'm not getting the exact one I wanted but it's still very nice.

9. Do you have a wedding budget? If so do you think you'll go over?
We do have a budget and we are significantly under budget! Its helps that one of us majored in accounting. lol

3. Was the proposal a complete surprise? I knew he was ring shopping but the actual proposal was a complete surprise.

6. Was the proposal romantic or creative? He proposed at the train station where we first met face to face. It was the station by my parents' house and we were picking a friend up there so I thought nothing of it.

i love the fact that fh was hiding in one of our closets the whole time...from the time i got home from work...til the time i went around to get the last clue...which sent me outside...then he appeared in our apt so i was super surprised. and he got me all my favorite food from different places which i loved.

the maldives and we're going the next day : )

yes...i purchased his

we do have a budget and actually i believe we're under it right now

1. How long did you date before you got engaged? We were friends for 5 years before he asked me out. We were dating for 2 1/2 years before he proposed.

2. Did you get the ring you wanted? Actually yes lol I sent him pictures of this beautiful, simple Tiffany ring I saw and I fell in love. Its just like it.

Nine years, lol. (we started dating when we were 17 and 18)

totally creative! put it in a bag of jelly beans in my christmas stocking. he asked me to find him a flavor (that he'd already removed from the bag), in my search i found the ring! (he had given me a bag of jellybeans on our first date because he knew i liked them, so they held some sentimental value to us)

we're going to cabo, leaving the following morning

my parents are paying, thank GOD! No real budget was set, but we are saving money everywhere we can.

We dated a full year before he proposed, but had been friends 2 years before that.

YESSSS!!! FH knows my style very well. He got the cut of the diamond perfect. And there are 2 styles I favor, he ended up getting me one of those. I absolutely love it.

Nah, i knew it was coming. He threw me off a bit, but I still was sure it would happen during the Summer - just not sure of exactly WHEN.

Eh, not really. I mean, I am definitely a fan of diamonds, but I'm not that gaudy of a person. I think it's size is pretty good :)

No, which surprised me. I kinda teared up a little, but no actual crying. Just a LOT of smiles!!!! It was a very happy day.

Yup - very romantic. He took me fishing (one of my favorite things to do with him) and then he led me down a secluded path and surprised me with a picnic blanket and lunch all set up. Soooo romantic. That was definitely a surprise.

7. Where do you want to go for your honeymoon, and how soon after your wedding?
Well, my dream honeymoon would definitely be to leave the country and go somewhere like Italy, Rome, or Greece. Have always wanted to visit one of those places. We won't be able to though, so I'm hoping maybe on one of our anniversaries instead.

Yup... I got it for him only a few weeks after he proposed

Yeah, we definitely have a budget. And I'm pretty good with sticking to it, so I'm not worried about going over. The only thing that would hurt us is if we go too much over our minimum at the RH

It was very romantic. It was on my birthday. DH couldnt wait for me to get home from work. He had made lobster tails and filet mignon. Then he told me there was a surprise in the bedroom (which I thought was a puppy) and when I opened the door there was candles and rose petals all over the place. Then he proposed.

Yes, we went away for the weekend and sat by a lake at the inn we were at and he asked me to go for a walk..and was sitting there looking at the beautiful surroundings, turn around and he's on one knee..

We went to Aruba, married on Saturday, left for Hm on Monday AM.

We bought both of them together.

We didn't have an actual budget...spent about what I thought we would though

we winged it and it worked perfectly, when the fund was low we cut back and when we had extra we splurged a little and ended up with the perfect wedding of our dreams
