well, I figured mine in with the HM. I even included my w-ring. (that's b/c I am anal and have everything on an Excel spreadsheet )

Me too! It's the 'whole' wedding and since we paid for it ourselves, we counted everything!

I voted...it was about $35K for everything (including everything) and worth every penny.

And unlike NYBride (lucky girl), we barely made 1/6th back...it was still VERY much worth it!

ETA: Much like the 'tipping' posts, I have a feeling a LOT of people won't actually answer...but why, especially if already married...who cares? OK, I don't, but I guess that's why it's 'anonimous'...but I think posting will actually help others.

FH makes fun of my 'lists' on my excel spreadsheet

FMIL thinks I'm so amazing because I'm so organized. She should only know I am when it comes to the wedding!!!!

wow.... lets see..... i havent added it up in a while.... I think I stopped somewhere back around 40k

I think when all is said and done we will be around 60k, that is including our HM, wedding rings, hall, vendors and all the extras, NOT including my e-ring though, I just cant add that lol, i think i would throw up......

I stopped adding when it got to about 40K. Our parents are helping with a lot, but not all of it. I was glad to find out tonight that at least our dads get free tux rentals from the place!!!

I really don't know for sure since there were many little extras that just went on my credit card and were forgetten months later.

But overall, and I had a simple wedding with many DIY projects including centerpieces I figured around 30,000 not including rings and honeymoon. Then its closer to 35,000.

But thanks to his mom who didn't contribute to the wedding and gave us a gift- we came out even.

I wish my mom could see this poll - she's giving us around $7500, which is extremely generous, but now is upset b/c she wanted that to cover the entire wedding! (We're guessing around $15k with honeymoon)

after reading a certain post on the 06 board about parents paying for weddings,,,fh and I are very fortunate to have parents who wanted and were able to do this for us. Even though our parents are paying for our wedding,,they allowed us to make our own decisions. Never once were we told, you have to get this or you must get that. We picked our vendors,,we picked our hall, we picked our menu..etc.
Fh and I CHOSE to ask our parents for there opinions while planning.

I almost topped 10K! the only way to do it is a lot of sacrifice and no people! 60pp and no honeymoon. We made quite a bit of things... Invites, favors, centerpieces all by me! I think I have a biggest headache ever!!!

With the honeymoon and all I would say around $30K.

NY weddings are SOOOO expensive. I think I should go into the wedding business- vendors make out like bandits!

I called FH yesterday and asked if we could elope, but to stand up and say our vows in front of all our friends and family after dating for 7 1/2 years makes it all worth while.
That is until I stop and think about how we could buy a house with the money we are spending on the wedding. J/K.
