STOLEN FROM 07ERS: Have any of your guests said your wedding date is not convenient for them??

People have asked why February..and the only reason why im doing it is because flights from Greece are GREATLY cheaper...and FH's family all work in hotels in Greece...and they start in the beginning of March.

well we are looking for halls right now. But we agreed if Friday night (which is def going to be more affordable) is the night we need because the hall we LOVE is too expensive on a sat night we are going to book!

But FH's dad is already complaining that it is inconvenient for others!!!

Not yet but I have no doubt that I will get it. Actually a lot of the response I have received thus far has been positive! 4th of July is always a fun holiday but I am sure it will 'ruin' some peoples summer plans. Oh well, it will be the party of the summer!!!

One time my friend told me if I had a destination wedding it would be a big burden on her life and her finances. Its a lil different but thought I would share anyway. It made me mad- i wasn't going to force her to come if it was going to be a long trip away.

My aunt has complained that within 3 months of my wedding she has her 1 sons communion and her other sons h.s. graduation. Oh well, I am a teacher and I am getting married in the summer. I don't let things like that bother me b/c you can never please everyone, I am worried about pleasing me and fh only

My 'aunt' did when it was the original date because that was the friday before Greek Easter. I'm suprised I havent heard anything yet since its Thanksgiving weekend.

Oh HAVE i heard it!!

We're doing a very unconventional day (Memorial Day '08) so keep down costs and all we're hearing is that people will have to work the next day. I say if you can't be up until 9 and make it to work in the morning then that's a personal issue.

I mean really.... prime time TV isn't even over until 10-11! If they want to leave early to ensure they can get up for their morning glass of metamucil and bran muffin, the 'whippersnappers' (sp?) and I will have enough fun for all

People have made the comment about it possibly snowing at the end of March. I usually just smile and say, 'Whatever happens, happens!'

A few of my college aged cousins were worried that it might be in the middle of finals, but it was more of a concern than a complaint.

I haven't heard that yet... usually I just hear how cool my date is... 8/8/08... but if anyone did complain, I would just say 'Oh well, guess you won't be there then.' I guess it's bitchy but I really don't care, it's my day... I do what I want!

we are getting married the sunday before columbus day. we wanted the majority of our guest to have off the next day and we figured not too many people would have vacation plans. Havent heard any negatives yet...

Hello date twin!
People have said that to me as well. I actually think it's kind of exciting that we could either have a gorgeous spring day in the 70's or an awsome winter night with snow and everything.
either way the end of march is a gorgeous time of year!

i'm also getting wierd looks when i say it's a friday.

i told him he could suuuck it and if he didn't want to get his fat asss up that early, he didn't have to be there.

we are getting married the sunday of labor day weekend..so everybody has off the next day. It's what we had always wanted and thought it would be really convenient being that the next day was a holiday..but we keep hearing complaints!! Nothing you do will please EVERYONE. So, just do what you want!!
