Here's the help I gave Jenn earlier in the thread:

it's super simple! Just go to the pic of your dress (wherever it is on the internet- if it's in one of your photo albums or on a website), right click on the picture, and a menu will pop up. Go to
properties, then copy the http address for the image. Then when you go to post it in the thread, go to insert web image, and paste the address in there! voila, that's all it is!!

Both are in my album. The one i wanted was the Maggie Sottero with the little sleeves. It was sooo pretty in the pic... and the first time I tried it on it was really nice too... BUT the 2nd time I tried it on i noticed that my arms looked like little sausages and i noticed that the color (it was white and I didn't have time to order the color I wanted) did nothing for me.

The 2nd dress - well I tried it on as a fluke. I wanted sleeves desperately and I didn't think it would look good on me - but it looked really good! It made my arms look less huge. It emphasized my boobs and the color was perfect for my complexion! And best of all - I could order it and it would only take a month and a half to come in!

So despite my initial picture love of the first - the 2nd one was the one that suited me most.

The first is a Watters Spring 07 dress that I fell in love with from the pictures. When I tried it on, though...meh. It was a very pretty dress, but that's it. The other is my gown, a Casablanca. When I put it on, I felt like a bride. And that's the point, isn't it? They're not all that different in the basic shape of the dress, just in material and decoration, as I know what shapes look good on me.

This past weekend, my mom put down the down payment on my bridal gown! So excited! I saw this dress right after I got engaged and I knew it was the one...and after many different dresses, I still decided that the Allure dress was the dress!

And this is me in it on a few weeks ago!

Thanks! I absolutely LOVE the maggie sottero dress that you have in your album. That was my 2nd choice dress. Did you decide on that dress? It is sooooo gorgeous.

Did you get your dress at Lillette's?

I really wanted this Lazaro. My final decision was between this dress and the dress I got...the deciding factor was how emotional I got everytime I put on my dress...This one is still gorgeous though!

ok, the first pic is the dress i loved b4 ever getting engaged. i never did try it on. the second is felciitty the dress i was oh so close to buying. the last is my dress. i saw this dress online and it was exactly what i imagined. i had always sketched out pics of my dream dress and this was it almost exactly. i searched it out and knew i would fall in love with it and i did. i just love the simplistic elegance.

I tried on the Maggie dress at Lotus Bridal and Lestan's in Brooklyn but don't go to Lestans. I had a bad experience there. But it seems a few places in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Staten Island carry the brand. I don't know where in Long Island you live so I don't know what's convenient to you but you should call around and see if they have the dress in the store for you to try on.
