My sister's on Jdate right now (she's recently divorced)
I met FH on a blind date. His cousin set us up. She's a good friend of mine from years ago so when I moved close to the city she said she has a great 'Jewish' guy for me... I never dated Jewish guys b4 and she always yelled at me for that. Now 3 in a half years later we're engaged and planning our wedding thanks to her.

Through a friend at a party. I was only 14 when we met and he told me that night he was in love with me and was going to marry me. I thought he was the biggest loser hahaha!

We met on match.com. We were both tired of meeting people in bars or clubs and so we both were trying something different. I never would have believed that I would find my future husband on an online dating service but here we are almost 3 years later, getting married. I've never been so happy as I am with him. I was a skeptic but now I tell all my single friends to sign up for it.

I can't top this story - that is the cutest thing I've ever heard!!
We met at a CD release party for his old band. He'd quit to go back to law school & I'd been dragged there by a guy I knew. I don't even like their music... which was funny. He tried to impress me at first by telling me he was their lead guitarist on their 1st album. I thought he was cocky and I was SO bored I sat at the bar text msging & drinking beers by myself... but he kept coming back to sit with me, asked me out by the end of the show. I figured what the hey - he's cute and POOF! we were engaged 8 months later!

Huraaaaaaaaaah to all of us who, despite hesitation, tried online dating service & succeeded!
I was very hesitant about online dating as well. It was the first time I actually tried! And I am very happy now! I personally know 3 couples who met on JDate, and are now getting married! My co-worker met her FH through match.com!

on backstagejbj.com!! Yes, a Bon Jovi fan message board!! I was talking about the Yankees and how Paul O'Neill was a Bon Jovi fan, and FH happened to be a Bon Jovi/Yankees fan as well...he clicked on my profile, got my email and wanted to chat about the playoff games. We just talked baseball for a few months...and it got more and more personal as time went on...and once I saw his pic, forget it, I was gone!! Even though he was in Georgia, I was in NY. Well months later, we met in person and there was no doubt! He finally moved back to NJ 3 years ago!! I think it's just the most bizarre thing how we met- we weren't even looking for anything, we just happened upon each other!

We met at a club through friends. A friend of mine was in town and she wanted to go dancing and invited me to hang out with her, her BF and another couple. I told her she had to bring some single people and she brought FH. I ended up having to 'save' him from some drunk girls. Never thought I'd meet my FH in a bar!!

on AOL! He msg me out of the blue and wouldnt leave me alone...so i felt bad and started to talk w/ him. He was going through some stuff w. his EX so i helped guide him........right too me!!!! LOL

ive know his best friend since we were in kindergarden (we went to school together and he's my friends cousin) so while i was talking to his best friends he moved in and swept me away

We met at a lounge. I was there w/ girlfriends. I had just gotten out of a terrible relationship. I let him know right away my goal was to settle down, his wasn't, he had just gotten out of a 6 yr relationship PLUS he was 6 years younger than me! I said fine and didn't expect to hear from him again. But he called again, we became friends and somewhere along the way it turned to love. The rest is history, he's my best friend and we have a beautiful 9-month old baby boy!!
Moral: Love never comes in the package you expect it to! But when it happens there's no hiding!!: lips:
