How would you feel if someone proposed to someone at YOUR wedding????

I'd be peeved if I didn't know about it beforehand.

But if it was someone super close, like my sister, then I'd conspire with the guy to have it happen during the bouquet toss. Like, we'd tie the ring to the bouquet (tie it tight!) and have ALL the other women know to step outta the way when it's tossed.

But that's it. My best friend and my closest female cousin are already married, so I think I'd only be okay with it in the case of it happening to my sister.

And since she changes boyfriends more often than she changes socks, that's probably not going to happen.

Um, that would be a no. Not at the reception anyway. You can do it at the hotel before or after, but not when I'm in attendance in my white dress.

I'm not too bridezilla about a lot, but I will go crazy over something like this.

ITA. Preferably after back at the hotel would be fine. Not at the actual wedding.

I'd probably be a little annoyed, plus I don't know why you would want to propose at someone else's wedding. Just my opinion, but doesn't seem like the right time or place.

I'd be pissed... it's my day!

but my sil's sisters ex husband actually proposed to her at a wedding on a charter boat. lets give everyone names
my sisterinlaws sister will be- June (irony?)
her ex husband will be- baker (long story)
and the bride will be- beth (no clue)

so beth and baker were friends, baker said he wanted to propose to june and beth INSISTED he propose at her wedding...
so they made it that june catch the bouquet and baker catch the garter and he proposed there...
june said yes ONLY because everyone was watching AND she was on a boat... she did not want to marry him...
but she did (civil ceremony) and they divorced within a year.

I beleve that it should be a private moment between the couple. If someone did that at my wedding it would piss me off bigtime. If they asked me prior, I would have to put that under ' Rude or Stupid questions people ask about your wedding'

I completely agree. I would also wonder why? ....what makes this wedding significant enough to propose at. As the girl I would feel weird too.

So sorry to crash...

I was set dead against anyone getting engaged at our wedding. BUT...it had nothing to do with MY DAY, or STEALING the spotlight. It had to do with bad luck.

I've been at 2 wedding where people have been proposed to, and my former boss was proposed to at a wedding. All 3 of these marriages have ended in divorce. And not only divorce...icky sticky messy nasty divorces. So I personally carry a taboo around regarding the proposal at a wedding.

Could it be that these 3 couples are just not ment to be married? YES! But, I personally think it's the curse of the wedding propsal!
