How would you feel if someone proposed to someone at YOUR wedding????

hmmmmm....I think it would depend on who it was that got engaged. If it was a close family member I would be p!ssed...If it was one of my best friends I would care but I wouldnt really get upset over it...

I think if it was a total surprise I would be upset....however if the guy asked me before hand if it would be ok, i MIGHT be ok with it depending on who it is.......this might sound bridezilla, but i sort of feel this is my ONE day to shine and i don't want anyone taking the spotlight away from me....yes, i am a brat and selfish!

Hopefully this would not happen – but if it did, I would not make a big deal out of it. The wedding day should be about you and your FH – not stupid peoples drama!

honestly...i dnt think i would mind if the guy came up to me and asked me....if sumone just did it without letting me know and made a big deal i think i would be pissed but if sumone asked me i think we could have it set up really cute and i wouldnt mind at all

i completely agree - if it was at the end of the wedding i might not be so mad but if they dont ask me first - whew no good!

I would be pissed too.....the day is supposed to be about FH and I and i'd be pissed if someone stole the spotlight. I don't know why they wouldn't be able to find another time to propose!

...its funny you ask though, because I went to my friend's wedding with FH (before he was FH when he was just boyfriend) and my friend knew he was going to propose that weekend...she kept saying 'OMG I hope he does it at the wedding, that would be AWESOME!!!!!' I was like 'Wouldn't you be upset????' Not at all, she was excited to have it happen. To each his own I guess.

ITA why do it on MY DAY??????? and I dont think we are bridezillas just b/c we want the spot light, I mean how many times in our lifetimes do we get this amazing fairy tale day, with us being the reason? just this one, so the guy better find another day to do it, preferably after my wedding hehe on my side this will never happen, cause everybody are married, on FH's I have no idea what to expect, I barely know anybody

Um, that would be a no. Not at the reception anyway. You can do it at the hotel before or after, but not when I'm in attendance in my white dress.
I'm not too bridezilla about a lot, but I will go crazy over something like this.

I TOTALLY agree with my cousin. I would definitely be pissed. I think it's inappropriate. I would be equally as pissed if someone announced they were pregnant at my wedding. Don't get me wrong - I would be thrilled to know ahead of time if one of my family members were pregnant or had just gotten engaged and they were either showing a baby bump or wearing a ring. That does not bother me at all - people need to live their lives. My wedding is just one day of their lives. But to either get engaged at my wedding or announce something really huge? Yeah, I'd be royally pissed off.

100% agree, depending upon who it is and if they would have asked before hand i might be ok with it, but if they just do it i might go bridezilla on them

honestly i wouldn't let it ruin the day.......i would probably let it go (i'm too nice sometimes). This kinda happened to me when i graduated college in 2007. I had my party on the nautical cruise boat in freeport and my dad's cousin's boy friend (at the time) proposed to her. Everyone kept coming up to me like 'how could he, this is YOUR day.....blah blah blah' lol at the same time he came up to me later and said that he just wanted the whole family to be there and he knew it was the only time this would happen......so i understood. I guess it depends on the situation......a wedding is different then a graduation party though.

I would be a little upset even if it was someone I was close with. I would be happy for them but it would still bother me that I was sharing mine and FH's special day with someone else.
