Stolen from Newlyweds: For those of you who live together... how much do you spend on groceries?

I'm just curious. I sometimes feel like I spend too much!

I don't go EVERY week.... I usually spend about $100.... sometimes more if I buy a bunch of meat.... it depends on which grocery store I go to. There is a HUGE one near us, and, I don't go there every time, but, when I do, I definitely spend more!

I just feel like $100 a week is so much for 2 people!!!!

So, what do you spend?

Wow. I wish! We try to go every other week, and usually end up spending about $130 - $150. Also, depends on what meat/fish items we buy. We actually are skipping the food shopping this week and trying to live off of the boxed and canned stuff since our credit card bill is so high!!

omg when we go to Costco we spend alot of money like at least 300 everytime we go (once a month) and then weekly id say $100 also...

ps we used to live together..

I love Costco..... but it's a black hole. I'll go and buy 5 things, and it costs $100!!! LOL

I don't go there too often, because there are very few things I actually use all the way through with only 2 of us!

I'll go with my mom in NY sometimes, then we split things.

WOW I feel ridiculous. We spend at least 150 to 200 per week on top of Costco and Bj's which is like another 200 to 300 per month. We definitely eat very healthy though and of course that is more

we average about $400.00 a month - sometimes a little less sometimes a little more......

of course that doesnt include chinese, pizza and when we go out to dinner

i go to BJs...so i spent like 300$ last time..and the only thing i have had to buy was milk bread and eggs...

that was like 3 weeks ago...

we go every week and spend about 60 bucks. When we first moved in we were spending 100 bucks a week just buying necessities. If we go to BJs or Costco, forget it, we're definetely in the hundreds but thats only about every 2-3 weeks.

hard to say, because we (well I) basically stop at the store every night on the way home from work when I get off the train. We live only a couple of blocks away. It's easier to go daily for us since we walk and it would be too much to carry a weeks worth of groceries (ahh, city living).
Anyway, I think I spend around $20 each time and I would say I stop there about 3-4 nights a week and on Sundays cause I always cook a big Sunday dinner.

We live right across from a supermarket..... and when I don't do a weekly shopping, I find myself going there every night, and I spend $20-$30..... it adds up so quickly! (It might also be because every time I go there, I get 50 billion scratch offs.)

hhehehehe He hates going to Costco with me. I just get everything and then never use it or eat it hehehehehehe.

We usually spend about $150 every two weeks. but if we have a get together then its higher

wow.......I guess having two kids changes that range a ton.....its about 250-300 a week......no me and FH arent complete fatties......my 8 year old ....who is skinny as sin can eat pound of pasta for dinner then is hungry an hour later....plus I only buy bottled water....we go through 2 cases a week at least......add in all the fresh fruit and veggies ....and the fact that my little guy will eat a 20 ounce porterhouse lol......

We spend $320 a month. We alternate.....1 week we have $40 to spend(usually on lunch and then if we need other groceries) and then the other week we spend $120 which is where I do the bulk shopping.
