Stolen from NW board:Do you ever wonder what ur ex's life is like?

I saw this question posted on Newlywed board. I guess I kinda wonder what one ex is up to but not overwhelmingly so. He was a total wreck and I always think to myself: 'Thank GOD I didn't marry him...' My one friend told me after we broke up 'thank god for unanswered prayers...' she was RIGHT.... LOL

its funny b/c i was with my ex boyfriend for 9 years...and my sister is dating his best friend for 5 years now...so i actually know what he is up to...he currectly has a girlfriend who he has been with for a few years too....i dont hate him and like hearing that he is happy...i am just really really happy that i am not the one who wound up with him

I know what mine are up to..I still talk to them. Not regularly but we exchange emails and IMs on occasion. One is engaged (and i couldnt be happier for him) and another is in a serious relationship. Those were the 2 recent relationships (after college) the ones before I have no clue. I know one is still dating a girl that he left me for (who was an ex best friend of mine)

It depends on which ex !
the last one before my FH really hurt me , so I don't really wonder much about him , I just feel sorry for whatever gf he has now , because he is a bad person ( as his ex wife tried to warn me , but i didn't listen )

But the other few serious relationships , one I keep in contact with , but the other 2 , yes from time to time I do wonder what they are up to and I wish them the best !

still lives in the same neighborhood and we know alot of the same people so basically know what he is up to. Went to school with my ex so he is friends with my friends and vice versa.

Totally. I have one ex that is married and has a little baby girl. I am very happy for him and wish him the best. We still IM occassionally and send pics.
The one before FH was evil....LOL

I have an ex that was very good to me when I was having some problems in high school. We went out for only 6 months in 9th grade (8 years ago). I still speak to him via e-mail once in awhile, but I haven't seen him in a long time, despite his requests, because I'm afraid of what it might drudge up (he was my first love and I always thought I would marry him- until I met FH). Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't give FH up for anything or anybody, because he's the best thing to ever happen to me.

To answer the question- in a way I do wonder, but more about what life would be like if I was still with him. (since I already know what he's doing now..)

I know what most of them are up to... though i'm not really close to any of them. One of them from college is in my pharmacy school with us, and is engaged to another girl in our class, i'm so happy for the two of them! As far as high school... one of my ex's ended up 'coming out', I didn't expect that one... lol.

And the other one from high school is quite an interesting story. I could describe him as quite obsessive when we were together, which is part of the reason why I broke up with him when I started college, I didn't want to be tied down with a boyfriend who was so serious, because I obviously wasn't that serious about him. He's now had a girlfriend for longer than I've been with FH, but he's jealous of the fact that I'm in love with FH and getting married He is still friends with one of my friends and was telling her one day about how he's better than my FH and smarter than my FH (which is not true at all), so apparently there's still some weird feelings there since we broke up almost 6 years ago! I just feel bad for his new girlfriend if he's still thinking about me like that...

I know one is married... he was nice, just not for me

the other is dating someone... I don't care to know about him, but I really hope he knows about me!

You were the 'one that got away!'

One popped up one night in a movie Juan and I were watching in the theater. A documentary actually (you cant make this **** up!!) I had no idea he was in it, and Wa-LA!! There he was.....16 feet tall and 30 feet wide. Whats even worse.....the Ex is EX-best friends with DH, so he knew exactly who it was!!

Talk about akward!!! LOL

I know, I'm terrible...but thats really how I feel. Every once in a while someone will bring one of them up about what they heard, etc...and all I can think is I dont care and how was I ever with that loser Doesnt matter which one it is either

It's funny that this thread came up, my first boyfriend ever (we were on and off for 3 years in high school) just found me on facebook. We haven't seen or spoken to eachother in like 7 years! It is really interesting where people end up...as far as I know he is unemployed, didn't go to college, and has two 6 year old kids (i'm not sure if they are by the same girl)!!!!!!!! All I can say is, thank god that I didn't end up with him
