Has anyone used or been to a wedding with one of these caterers?

Re: Stone Caterers vs Lovin ovin
Do you mean Philip Stone Caterers (http://www.stonecaterers.com)? I'm having my wedding at the Village Club at Lake Success, which is one of several sites Philip Stone owns and/or works with on Long Island.
Initially, I was pretty happy w/ our choice of venue. HOWEVER, of late, I have grown UNHAPPY. I posted a pretty lengthy summary of why I'm pissed on Friday, 1/13. Do a search for something like, 'Unresponsive catering/banquet manager.'
I'm meeting w/ the banquet manager at the VC tomorrow. Hopefully, things will have been resolved. If you're curious, you can FM me. At which site are you interested in having your wedding?

I've been to a wedding where Lovin Oven was the caterer and I am now having my wedding at a location where Lovin Oven is the caterer. Before we even booked Flowerfield, I went to a wedding at Tribeca Rooftop and both my fiance and myself felt it was the best food we ever had at a wedding. I highly reccommend them. I don't know anything about Stone Caterers.

I've been to a few weddings where Lovin Oven catered and now they're doing my wedding too. All I can say is deeeeelicious! Sorry, I've never had an experience with the other caterers.

Re: Stone Caterers vs Lovin ovin
if you are getting married at the centerport vanderbilt - there are more caters then you think to choose - Culinary in Huntington - on wall st- is one - they have good food - easy to order samples - they did my engageent party - it was perfect
i also believe - le Bonne quiche can cater there- she makes some very interesting food- really good- i love her mimosa chicken - she makes some nice wedding cakes too - the place is in northport - they did my shower and day after brunch
you may want to check some of the smaller caters out - they can do a great job also
also - i was supposed to look at vanderbilt with philip stone caters and they cancelled on me twice- so i never looked at it for my wedding - it is a beautiful site -my parents have been there many times for events -
you may want to plan on having a slipper basket with all those cobble stones - dangerous on heels

Re: Stone Caterers vs Lovin ovin
I have experienced nothing but good things with Lovin' Oven at both FF (why I booked my wedding there!!) and Land's End. Everyone I speak to about any Lovin' Oven location has beyond RAVE reviews. I am going to another Land's End wedding this August (my friend Nicole) and I have even eaten at their restaurant 21 Main. They also have a great bakery at their disposal for your cake (Audreys). Although, I have never heard of the other caterer you mentioned I don't see any reason you would need to look further than Lovin' Oven because that is how much I have faith in what they do. You know what they say... If it ain't broke lol don't fix it!! Good Luck though, I'm sure you will make a great decision and have a wonderful wedding!
