Please be advised that I am currently planning the most important day of my life and will be donning the largest, whitest, most satin dress I will ever wear in my life.
It is hard enough for me to be of Italian descent and NOT eat carbohydrates. But every day I come into the office, you place a large box of donuts, godiva, cake or other goodie on the desk outside my office.
It's not fair. Do you want me to look like a giant marshmallow? I know you are only being nice and bringing in snacks for the office. But PLEASE put it somewhere else....

The teachers lounge is the worst! I avoid it at all costs during the day.. cookies, cakes, left over candy.. donuts, munchkins... catered lunches!
I stay in my room all day... I only go in to make copies!

I can sympathize!!! We keep getting baskets!!! And last week someone brought in a cheesecake!! What I have done now is I am the evil one. The 2 other girls in my office are also trying to lose weight, and here I am bringing in leftovers of the stuff I made for the holidays. I only did this because if it stays in my house, only FH and I will eat it and gain!!!
So I am one of those people, but I am doing it out of self preservation!!!

Join the club! I work with all men, so they don't care so much about figures!!! Everyday I come in there is something in my office
homemade pumpkin pie, cakes, donuts, candy, chinese food!!!

Before Christmas, we had 2 people each day bringing some sort of treats in, a breakfast treat and an afternoon treat. It was deadly. Then with the baskets and all of the leftovers people have brought in, it's been horrible!
My body goes into sugar withdrawal in January when it gets really busy here and you really need the pick me up!

i so feel your pain. when i had first started at my current job last december i weight 115 lbs. In one year of working there i gained 20 lbs. theres always food there!!! ugh

Amen sista! I am so thankful to be out of my office until after the New Year. Everyday, a vendor would send chocolate, cookies, popcorn tins, etc. The girl I work w/ promised to purge all remaing food tomorrow, so when I get back, it should be temptation free. 1/3/06 starts the diet of a lifetime.
6 months = 25 pounds!!!
Another friend of mine and I are competing against some of the men in the office in a 'Biggest Loser' competition. I told FH I want to go on the show and come back just before the wedding and be Hot.
