Stop messing with my head...(Long Vent)

I'm ready to strangle my Mom. Here's what our convo sounded like...

Me: Hello
Mom: Hi. How are you?
Me: OK. I'm talking to FH's Mom on the computer. She's asking me about the rehersal dinner.
Mom: Ohhhh. Guess what? Your aunt isn't leaving for
Spain until after Easter so she can come to your shower!

Mom: Hello?
Me: I was talking about the rehersal dinner!
Mom: Yeah and?
Me: You just told me that my shower is going to be before Easter!
Mom: Well you don't know the exact date.

Me: I'm going to pretend I didn't hear anything.

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! I was a little annoyed.
Funny thing is that a week ago I was b*tching and moaning about my bridal party not getting their act together. My friend told me that hadn't even booked a place or discussed my shower. Well yesterday I went bowling with an old friend and she turns to me and says, 'I got your shower invitation.'

She saw my surprised face and was like 'Ohhh nooo is it a surprise?'

I told her, 'Don't worry about it. You didn't tell me anything. It's not like I know exactly WHEN'

Well my Mom just narrowed it down for me. I think they are messing with my head....

Ok take a deep breath chickadee. They want you to be surprised. Just take it and be happy they have one planned for you and want you to be surprised, it always seems to make the party seem so much more meaningful that they are surprising you

I think people think that showers arent a surprise anymore.

My aunt pretty much spoiled it for me. I feel bad b/c my sister keeps saying 'did you know' and I lie and say no. Yet my aunt plain out said to me 'Cousin Joan feels bad she can't come on Sunday'. Hello!

Then I said 'um.....to what...the shower?' and my aunt said 'yeah, oh don't tell me you didn't know. Everyone usually finds out'. GRRRR. I had an idea but wasn't sure. But whne I saw the invitation it didn't say 'surprise' so I can't fault my aunt either.
