Stop N Shop - SALES!!

Original post by Kel

Stop N Shop this week has been very, very good to me!

Coke - 4 12-can cases for $8.88 (limit 4)

Campbells Chunky Soup - 99 cents each (limit 8)

Perdue Ground Turkey - buy 1 get 1
Perdue Whole Chickens - buy 1 get 1
Boneless Shell Steaks .. big savings .. was almost like a 2 for 1 deal.

I also stocked up on some other cuts of meats .. we're set with dinners for about 3 weeks!

My savings today alone was $50!! I went back today for more Coke .. after finding the deal yesterday .. when I had savings of about $30!

I was looking at the round eye steaks yesterday and i didnt know if I should get them or not...I will be there friday, so I will get them then.

Round Eye, Flank & London Broil all have to be marinated and sliced on an angle to be tender...

Porterhouse, T-Bone, NY Strip, Shell Steak can be marinated or not marinated and don't have to be sliced...

I found this out the hard way by buying Round Eye and London Broil and trying to grill them and serve. Chewed like leather!

I grill london broil all the time and it is not chewy like leather at all.....

According to shows on Food Network .. cut on an angle to be pretty .. but cut against the grain so it's not chewy.

Here's a beef map .. was on Good Eats, where Alton Brown explained all you wanted to know about beef...

That's what I meant..against the grain! I just do mine on an angle

I'm not sure how someone can cook london broil tenderly...share your secret!!!

My london broil I marinate in garlic and terriaki (sp?). I try to let it sit for at least a day. And sometimes I even freeze the steak with the terriaki.

People RAVE about it. I'm asked to bring it to every BBQ we go to.
