Stop the madness!
Honestly! I've been reading this website since last October or so. For the most part i've found it useful. But lately its been ridiculous. Please...NOBODY respond to this post. NOBODY!! I just want to let you know that I come on this site a few times a day and I don't post anything. I just like to read and get ideas. Who cares how many times people write in a day? Who cares if people are posting anonymously? This site is here so we can help one another. The only thing that happens when people respond to negative things is more negative things. When I come onto this site all I read are arguments that seem useless. There are many of us on here that enjoy (or used to enjoy) coming on to this site and talking to one another and getting help. Can't we return to that? Its extremely petty to argue about who has the most posts, who writes anonymously, etc... We are all in the same boat! If you don't like what you read skip it and move on. I'm sure we are all mature here and understand how to be the bigger person.
As for not revealing my name, I don't have to. In fact half the posts on this board are by screen names, and some who chose to posts under several names. Who cares. Is it the name that matters or the opinions we chose to share. What difference does it make if I reveal my name. We all do not know one another and I think Kate likes to make excuses and take the criticism off herself.
Sorry Ella
I'm sorry this happened for all of you to see and i'm sure it looks bad on my part. I can't help to defend myslef as silly as it seems with these people. I feel that i get a lot of great information on this site as well as give what I can give. When fictitous people come on here and start with me, I feel the need to stand up for myself, whether it is right or wrong, I dont' feel I did anything to these people. I tried to handle it off line, but this person kept responding on line, bashing me. It is my reaction to defend myself. I'm sorry you had to experience this behavior. I really don't enjoy it and with my wedding 40 or so days away, it's not easy to deal with.

Dear Kate, Your wedding is only 40 days away? You must be a bundle of nerves. I hope you have (almost) all your details in order! Let me know if I can help in anyway. Try to stay calm and just so you know- don't feel you have to defend yourself so you don't look bad, afterall we all know how to read- you don't look bad! Anyway- good luck finalizing your plans. Where is your wedding going to be? Hugs Stacy
My photographer is Chuck. I am getting the video through them. I wasnt concerned with the video. What I saw was not outdated. I actually thought it was the best video I saw out of all the other photographers/videographers I checked out. Maybe ask to see another sample of their videos. I was very impressed with it. We watched a short 10 minute version. Who did you meet with? I really liked the way they were flexible and I thought the packages included alot. Keep me posted!!
Hope this helps, Stephanie
Thanks
Hi Stacy: Yes, approximately 40 days, I think 44. Thanks for your kind words. I'm not too nervous just overwhelmed a little with the last details. You start to feel like your going to forget something. I have a checklist and I'm constantly running down that, picking little things up, etc. I did all my ceremony programs and my girlfriend found an error in one of the words so now I have to re-do the covers. UGH! Things like that are over-whelming. Just when you think you done with something. LOL. I know when that day comes though, I'll have a great time and so much fun with my fiance and our families.
Here is a portion of a private email from Jamelle: (it might help in bringing some perspective)
Mark...what a hoot who would have thought me and MK buddies :-) .......... ...........
Thanks
Oh know! (the program covers) What a pain in the a_ _ I hate when stuff like that happens. Look at it this way- at least the error was found! Yeah, you'll have a great day! Stacy

Hi Kate. Not meaning to butt in but How did you do your own programs. I would like to do that too but dont know where to start. Thanks
We headed back to the resort, threw on beach wear and hit the pool bar. Talked to really friendly hotel guests who were thrilled to hear that the next day we would be getting married. We attended a Luau and went back to the hotel.

You never butt in. Don't worry. I used Print Shop and used the tall note card project. It's easy. My theme ended up being sort of Kim Anderson's art even though I didn't want the whole wedding that way. I found a picture of 2 kids i front of a building. The little boy is throwing the veil up in the air. I used that on the front of the cover. I used heavy ivory card paper for the covers and ivory regular paper for the inside listing. Then I bought Navy ribbon and tied it around the seam with a bow showing outside on the front; like a booklet. I made small cards, like the size on Martha Stewart site. 2 per every 8 1/2 x 11 sheet. It's small and it will fit in people's purses or pockets. They are quaint and have the order of my ceremony on one side and on the right page I wrote who was performing the ceremony and under that I wrote each bridal attendant and who they are to us. I can email it to you to view if you wish. Send me your email.
CONGRATULATIONS!!! I got tears in my eyes reading your posting. How very romantic!
Best of luck!

I am interested in your idea as well, it sounds great. Can you email to me also? Thanks Kate
I agree with the other poster, I don't think Jamelle would have wanted this news broadcasted, but since it is done, I'll let you know how she's doing...While she did lose most of her belongings and almost all of her husbands, I can assure you that both are okay and will soon be closing on their condo in NJ. Thankfully, her wedding pictures, gown, shower gifts, etc. were at her mother's house. The only thing they managed to escape with at the time of the fire (besides the clothes on their backs) were their kittens. Jamelle and Mike are both troopers and last I saw them they were in great spirits. I'm sure they both appreciate everyones well wishes.
Wishing you all the happiness in the world!!!

Hi Kate. It is [email protected]. Thanks!! Did this turn out cheaper than having them made through the invitation place??
I just wanted you to know that I really appreciated all your help. Although I couldn't make it to the get together, I live in California, I would have loved to meet you.
Programs
It only cost me the paper and my time, which means a lot to me in planning the wedding. I'm trying to make everything personal or home-made or something of a special memory. I really never looked into ordering them from the invitation place, but I assume it would be a little more because you pay for the printing. Most of us these days have our own computers and printers. I emailed both you and Elizabeth the program, or I am about to send it.

Just FYI....
There are also things called casual imprintables. I sell them to alot of brides who make their own invites/programs. They have ones that are programs with different themes/pictures on front but are blank inside and you can print them yourself. Something like that can be easy to do and great if you are looking to save money as most brides are:-)

I think there are 2 Elizabeth's here now...I did request the program so if you are able to send it to [email protected] would be great. Still it sounds like such a nice idea, I guess we are all interested. Thanks for being gracious and sharing your ideas. It's a very nice gesture.

Print Shop
Stephanie has the cards already which is great. Then you only have to do the inside printing. Also - On Print Shop, you can make labels for envelopes, your thank you's, personalized tip envelopes, etc. It's a great program. You can also import pictures of you and your fiance or your church or hall and make thank you cards with that and labels to match. I love the program. I do so much on it. I scanned in the picture on my invitation and made address labels to match. A lot of my family and friends wrote messages back commenting on them. I have made family and friends their own address labels, etc. for stocking stuffers, to give with stationery, etc. You can order Print Shop on line as well.
