I'm not getting married until August 24th, 2014 but I want to start with every thing I can get out of the way.. especially my DIY things.. but how should I store it all? I don't want to make programs and have them warp or bend, and I want to maybe get decorations but I'm nervous that they will go bad! I know that doesn't apply to objects but that's how I feel! lol how are you ladies storing everything for the big day? and any suggestions on how early I can store paper goods?

Storage for the wedding
I'm not really sure to be honest, I'm going to try to hold off til at least the beginning of next year to start doing that stuff so I'm not holding it for too long. I'm scared colors will fade or paper will roll.

Re: Storage for the wedding
I have everything I bought in a corner in my bedroom. Cool and low light. I bought napkins, gifts, bubble wands, hershey kisses, stickers, etc and am just praying that it will all keep

My mom made a corner for me in the basement. It has a shelf unit so everything that needs to be laid flat can.

FH's parents gave us a whole room upstairs for anything we get from the registry or use for the wedding. So far anything I've ordered or will be ordering kind of helped by telling how to store them or how long they'll stay 'fresh' for.

Re: Storage for the wedding
I'm probably going to use one of my grandmothers spare rooms for registry items! I can't even think of a place to put that stuff now haha

I'll probably use my old room at my moms once I start buying the bigger things. We can also use some space in the unfinished part of the basement of where we are now.

I have things in large plastic totes in a shelving unit in my basement. The totes are great because they protect the items AND will be useful for when you have to drop the stuff off at your RH!

So far I'm keeping everything in our basement, I might move it upstairs though to one of the bedrooms that isn't being used.
