The following companies just filed for Bankruptcy:
> Hollywood Video > Levitz > Sharper Image > Performance Team Freight > Linens n Things > Circuit City > Bed, Bath and Beyond (not sure if this ones true)
If you have gift cards from the above list use them ASAP, they will not be valid for much longer.
This is nuts

Re: Stores filing for Bankruptcy
OMG, first Fortunoff's and now BBB. I guess it doesn't matter where you register now- all the stores are going bankrupt!

What?? Really??
Are you sure this isn't like a 'Microsoft will gives you $100 if you forward this email to 10 people' thing?

Re: Stores filing for Bankruptcy
Wow it is mostly true... except BBB isn't included.
I haven't seen any evidence that BBB is filing for bankruptcy yet -- I think this is just a rumor.

Re: Stores filing for Bankruptcy
I'm crossing my finger that they added in BBB by accident bc it's one of my fav stores.
Hopefully it if does go bankrupt it will get bought out by another big retailer like Lord & Taylor did with Fortunoff.

Re: Stores filing for Bankruptcy
It's all true except for Bed, Bath and Beyond. I read about all of these stores closing a few months ago.

Re: Stores filing for Bankruptcy
my company is owned by BBB and trust me they are not filing banckruptcy.... I don't think many people realize but they own bbb, christmas tree shops and buybuy baby. the company just started offering life insurance so I don't think they are going anyhwere

Re: Stores filing for Bankruptcy
filing for bankrupcy does not mean that they are neccessarily closing shop...
Levitz is the only one I know of that is closing or is probably already closed.
