Stores filing for Bankruptcy

Just got this in an email.....

The following companies just filed for Bankruptcy:

> Hollywood Video
> Levitz
> Sharper Image
> Performance Team Freight
> Linens n Things
> Circuit City
> Bed, Bath and Beyond (not sure if this ones true)

If you have gift cards from the above list use them ASAP, they will not be valid for much longer.

This is nuts

bbb is not included. I think the confusion with the news is that BBB owns Linen and Things. But BBB is ok for now. An ex-worker of mine works and Linen and Things

I like Linens n Things. My friend will be upset about Hollywood Video...and I would totally be concerned about BBB if that was actually true.

I just bought a BBB g/c for my cousin who just got engaged . . . I really hope that one is not true!!

I did hear about the others though . . . How do these stores go bankrupt like this?

BBB isn't true there was an article on the 08 boards the other day.

I would be so upset if Bed Bath and Beyond was included. That is one of the places we are registering at.

I haven't seen any evidence that BBB is filing for bankruptcy yet -- I think this is just a rumor.

Someone who sent me a gift card for Linens and Things for our engagement called my dad to have me send it back to him he was so upset... we spent most of it already anyway. so it's all good
