looking at all the hair threads, it seems most of the LIW gals are blessed with beautiful curly/ wavy hair that looks great when styled with curls. I on the other hand, have straight hair that looks awful with curls. i want to avoid the updo if at all possible so i was wondering if any of you gals had straight hair suggestions/ and or pics?

sorry I went with an updo and had lots of bobby pins in my hair to keep the curls in all night long. I have really stick straight hair.

I'm doing half up half down and going to try with big loose curls. I don't know if my hair will hold the curls though because my hair is straight and not that thick.

I am also going with half up/down look with big curls. They will probably fall out after a few hours but once my hair has a little wave, I'll be okay with it.
Also, I plan on keeping my veil on during the reception too, so I am more concerned about the front of my hair.

OMG me too, I really don't like head pieces, tiaras and such, so I really want to wear my veil at the reception(it will be fingertip lenght).
I figure if I take the veil off an dhave no head piece I won't feel as bridelike as I want (does that make sense??)
PS: MY hair is very straight and I will have big loose curls, I will be wearing either half up/half down or all down, with lots & lots of hairspray, but I agree that even though my hair may loose some of the curls it will just look like I have nice waves.

I also have naturally straight hair and my curls/loops held in all day w/o any problem at all. If you're going for all down or half-up/half down, the curls might loosen by the end of the night but I think it will still hold. I only have pics of updos though-sorry.

I don't think I'm going to wear a veil during the reception because then it will just hide my hair but I'm not into headpieces or tiara's either. I'll probably get some nice clips or something.
