Is it strange to ask a wife of one of fh's friends that I'm close to without asking the husband?

i dont think it is strange. if she is a friend of yours and you would like her to be in the wedding then i think she would be honored!

FH waited until 6 months before to ask one of his groomsmen (Mind you he had them picked out since day one he was just too lazy to ask! )
As for your second question.. I don't think it's strange to ask the girl. If you guys are friends then it shouldn't matter that the guy is not in the wedding. I agree that she will probably be honored! HTH!

i dont think ts strange at all...fh has a guy in and i dint ask his wife..im friends with hr but not super close....and i def dont thin is too late..fh just asked the guys like 2 weeks ago

I don't think it's too late, FH still doesn't have all his GM asked, only 2/3, and may possibly ask a 4th as well. As for the wife, if you're friends with her and hang out with her on your own, I think that's fine. But I don't know how I would feel about it if you only hang out with her as couples, then maybe that would be taken the wrong way by the husband, jmho.
