Ok more fun times.... f. just checked our booked hotel rooms on the block we booked... and there's some stranger on there! Not a wedding guest, she's from a state nobody was even invited from!
***. *sigh* So if we call the hotel and ask them to cancel her booking, will they? How the heck a stranger got our code, I have no idea.

Re: Stranger on your bookedhotel room list?
Is it possible that the reservation was made under someone else's name, someone you didn't invite? IE if you invited your friend Gina, maybe she had her mom make the reservation because her mom was paying for the room with her card? You know what I mean? There may be a connection you don't know of ...

What you can do is call the hotel and tell them you don't think you know that person, can they add another room to your block in the event it was made under the room group name. If there is another wedding block at your hotel that night, it's possible that the person at the hotel punched in the wrong code - and you wouldn't want to cancel a reservation that someone made, you know?

Maybe, but I don't know anyone w/that name... I'm not sure how to check to find out.
We're not going to book all our rooms anyway... it's just the principle. I doubt the hotel would just drop them (I hope not!) i'm sure they'd contact them and tell them the code was wrong or whatever. This is the one w/our last names so ugh idk.

I agree.. is your block close to being full? If not, I'd leave it alone.. won't affect you unless you end up needing that room

I dont know if they will cancel her. But they probably wont take away from the number of rooms you have. But def call them and let them know. She may be a guest from another party and it got mixed up.

Re: Stranger on your bookedhotel room list?
why don't you just ask the hotel to block an additional room for you so it cancels out the mystery guests block
