STRESS, STRESS, STRESS, STRESS (long)

STRESS, STRESS, STRESS, STRESS (long)

Seriously, I am starting to understand why that girl from the MTV show quit her job when she started planning her wedding.

Some of you might recall that my grandmother passed away in October and that my grandfather moved in with my parents. Well, now that same grandfather is in a coma with brain damage as a result of a stroke he had two weeks ago My mom is going to take him off life support next week. Why is she waiting you might ask? To avoid throwing an even darker shadow over my bridal shower, which is tomorrow.

Two nights ago we got a call from Keith's parents. His grandfather in Fla is not doing well and his parents wanted to let us know that his doctors don't think that he is going to make it through the weekend.

My sister is irritated because my Baltimore friends have not responded to her about the shower, rather they have been emailing me and sis doesn't want me to be involved at all - like a good MOH.

And to top it all off my work load is OUT OF CONTROL! To the point that I feel like I am doing the work of two attorneys.

Oh yeah, and I have this wedding to plan...

And a fiance who is very against my new habit of bringing work home during the week.

I am being pulled in so many different directions, I am not sure where I am anymore.

Thanks for listening to me vent, even though I have been relatively MIA over the past few weeks.

Breathe girl Breathe.

You will make it. For some reason so many things start to go on the minute we start to plan a wedding.

I am so sorry for the stress you are going through. I've been in that boat.

Just take a breath and relax. I know a lot easier said then done, but you need to relax.

Its a lot of stress and you cant let it make you sick. You are the bride and your shower is tomorrow. Enjoy it. Have fun. Laugh, smile and have a good time.

You can always come on here and vent to us

I am soooooo sorry about all of the family stress that you are going through right now.

Try to relax and enjoy your shower and the fun parts of planning the wedding!

Are there any paralegals or secretaries that you can get to help you with some of your workload!

Take a deep breath. Maybe take Sunday to spend a 'me' day. Do what you want and only what you want to do!

You will get through this!

You sound like you need to take a deep breath, relax, and take a day to yourself.

Go take a long walk, go shop, or do something YOU enjoy and give yourself a short break

post as much venting as you need to - sending you some hugs - not that they'll help the workload

can you get rid of some workload?
can you forward the emails to the MOH?
on top of everything else, can you and FH find some time alone to deal with the emotions of the family situations?

Thank you all so much!!! It is so great to have a place to come for such caring and support. I have not taken a lunch a few weeks, so today, I have closed the door to my office and plan on taking some time (without taking any phone calls) to chill out.

I think I have just posted more in the past 20 minutes than I have in the last month!

Becky, You need to breathe & relax a lil'. Everything will get done in it's own time. Do things at a slow pace and eventually everything will work itself out... you have to have FAITH... I believe that God only gives you what he knows you're capable of handling. And besides, I'm a firm believer in what doesn't kill you, only makes you stronger! lol
If you need help with things we're here for you

When it rains, it pours
I am sorry that this time is so difficult for you and your family. It is just not an easy time at all.
I agree that planning a wedding just take sooo much of your time, on top of all the everyday stuff. You need a massage and a nice dinner out. I hope you have fun at your shower tomorrow.

I'm sorry you have to go through all that... For my sisters wedding my grandmother had to miss it cause of a triple bipass.. my mother was a reck the month of the wedding and the month after(was no help planning, and my sister missed out on alot)
I know it may sound a little inhuman, but for the long run, the best thing to do is not think about those people with sicknesses too much..to a certain extent you should.. But Your probably not going to want to associate your wedding with illnesses/death in the family..
Im sorry your going through this at a time that is suppose to be soo happy for everyone.. Id be a reck..
