Hi, there
I'm so stressed that the wedding isnt going to be paid before the day comes. We are having and engagement party and i've spent so much so far and then im looking for my RH and i really like the Meadow Club and you have to put $500 down to hold the date. I'm worried that if i dont do it soon then im going to lose the day. I so worried and stressed that nothing is going to work out.....
Also i just called th chruch today to make the day and they will not tell me if the dates open intil I meet with the priest.. I've got the best job and im the one saving my FH has a jerk as a boss and wont give him a raise and he is make crap money and i feel like im going to be paying for everything if he doesnt get a new job. Also my Fh bought a new car and the dealership screwed him and now his stuck with a $520 car payment and it make if hard for him to save.... AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I felt the exact same way a couple months ago when I started planning....and I still feel that way sometimes. Dont worry....it will work out in the end, and if something doesnt go as planned, just remember that it happened for a reason!! And dont worry about losing your date, you have plenty of time.

It is very stressful. We are paying for our wedding 100% ourselves otherwise we would get married sooner. We have to wait until 2009 because otherwise there would be no way to pay for all the wedding stuff and our regular bills. Basically, in order to pay for this wedding we have to save at least a thousand dollars a month. As far as the reception hall is concerned we had to give $2000 when we booked (I guess maybe that's different than saving the date). Money will be tight!!! In January we have to send them another 4500. I feel your pain! Good luck!!!

I feel that way every now and then, but remind myself that we have plenty of time to work hard to save up...thats the great thing about a long engagement. But its perfectly normal and you just have to try and be creative in cutting costs where you can.

My problem is that I think this long engagement is costing me more! I keep seeing so many great things on this website that I want!

It is very stressful but thats why it's is totally important to plan and budget your money wisely..You do have 2 years ahead of you- You can figure it out.... FH and I think about the budget everyday & it helps relieve some of the stress.... You can have your dream wedding as long as your honest with yourself and plan..

I'm so worried also about the money the past 2 months I have not saved my goal of $500 a month. Any money you get from the E-party you should save and put it in a CD account.

I totally feel your pain!!! I thought I was the only one who's stressed. We just got engaged in May and EVERYBODY asks 'So whens the date?' and I want to scream! Unlike the majority of my friends, we are paying for everything ourselves and trying to pay off our credit card debt at the same time. ugh......

We would like get married in Nov 2008 but I'm starting to think we should look into jan, feb or march 2009. I dont want to spend a small fortune on the wedding but I want it to be beautiful and classy too. plus we're probably going to be having 180-200 ppl. Any suggestions, besides don't forget to breathe? THanks! Colleen

haha i opened an ING account and don't know how i would even take out the money i put in. i get 4.5%. it's awesome....i love not knowing how to take money out of a bank account.

I've never fought with FH more than I am fighting with him this past month since we've been engaged...it's all because of wedding planning!!!!

we've had one little 'tiff' and got past it. we havent officially started planning yet so nothing major. I should be getting some money soon so we're waiting for that check and then we'll see if we can start planning and putting money down. But I'm expecting some doozeys!!!
