Stressed

Hi everyone! Every day I have wanted to get on here and every day something has kept me away. It has been a ROUGH week!! I have a new para who started in my room that is just not a good fit (to put it nicely). Especially since I already have 4 paras in the classroom. Every night I have gotten home later than expected from work due to staying late or traffic. Its just been one of those weeks. I have to work my other job tonight, but I'm hoping I can get on here to catch up when the kids I babysit go to sleep!!! Looking forward to having a few drinks with everyone at TWOTY!!!!!

Awww sorry to hear that. My sister teaches in Queens and she is having a tough year also. Must be something in the water!

I can not wait to have a drink or two with you at TWOTY!

Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, you're not always going to get along with the people you work with. I came from a place where I honestly liked everyone in the entire office and now at my new job it's extremely cliquey. I get a lot of attitudes from my coworkers and it's definitely an adjustment. My advice to you is keep conversation limited to professional reasons only and only talk to her if you have to. Hello/Goodbye and that's it.

Oh I agree- you definitely won't get along with everyone. However, I'm pretty easy going and don't generally have trouble with people- I usually get along with everyone. This woman doesn't want to do what I ask of her which is the problem. I wish I could keep it to hello/goodbye, but since we are in the classroom, there is constant interaction. It is what it is and I will deal with it, but I just never saw it coming. Its only her first week in our classroom and she's very demanding already!
