Stressed....finding a hall woes!

Re: Stressed....finding a hall woes!

I'd suggest checking Larkfield Manor. The food is incredible - - they give seconds on the entrees!
the people are wonderful and caring. I think the place is elegant.
Now depending on the size of your wedding, the big room is long with a longish dance floor; the smaller rooms holds up to about 120 people and is square. we used that.
I have a slideshow in my videolib which may give you an idea of grounds for pics (they have a gazebo with bridge over pond and nice landscaping), the food and small room.

im biased but i LOVE the swan club! the grounds are truly amazing and when i went to their showcase, the food was very good! i have tons of pics of it in one of my albums! let us know how it goes! CLM would have been my other choice, but it was just too far for most of my guests

Swan Club was our runner up. It is gorgeous and certainly has the gardens you're looking for!

Hi! I finally booked with Majestic Gardens for 08-09... the place is so beautiful and you can do all your pictures there.... inside and out there are places for pictures! We went to so many halls and finally went back there and booked .... I am so happy we did.... It will be $100 pp.... but maybe they could work with you on the price too .... Call Dorothy over there... she is great !!!!!! Good Luck !!!

Well, I can see why you are stressed out! I am actually getting married at Jericho. The food is amazing-the staff is phenonminal and the outside is wonderful. MY FH sister got married there and the pictures speak for itself. You can also tell them to tone down with the lights in the lobby if it is too much for you. I am sure they can do something to accomodate you.

have you looked into the watermill?

the decor is very simple yet elegant . I love the stairs in the lobby
i'm a little biased though

If you are looking at CLM you should also look at Venetian Yacht Club - I got a price for a 100 on A friday night in Jume - but that was alos with extras so I think they would be in your range -

North Ritz is really nice - That was my second choice but a little pricey especially for June

Im really disappointed ....well FH and I have been looking for halls and we have narrowed it down to: Jericho Terrace I liked the place but I don't love it although i've heard the food is really good and that's what we care about as well. On the other hand FH doesn't really like the fact that he thinks the actual entrance and lobby is over decorated. We were also looking to have our reception at a place that has beautiful grounds to take photos. So this is what we are looking at: Beautiful Grounds and Great food!!!. FH doesn't like the Fox Hollow he hates the long dance floor so that's a NO...Jericho Terrace we like but no outside really just a little fountain :(. We are looking at the Swan Club tonight and Chateau La Mer on friday . If anyone has been to either places for a wedding please comment on food and grounds. And if possible compared between Jericho, Chateau La Mer and Swan club where will you recommend??? PLEASE HELP ME this is getting to me and i am soo frustrated :( take care

I'm going to a wedding this weekend at the Surf club...FM me on Monday and I will let you know how it was.

Hi - we booked jericho terrace!!! Did you look at all the rooms there?? My reception is in the dome room!! Since jericho terrace does not have a lot of grounds for pictures we are going to old westbury gardens for pictures and its only about 5 minutes from jericho terrace.

Swan club felt like a factory to us, we went for a wedding there and shared a cocktail hour with another party, also food was not impressive service was good, line at the bar was long.

Good Luck :)

I really disliked the food at CLM and the booze was awful. JMO

You should really check out the North Ritz Club in Syosset on Jericho Tpke. It is understated and elegant and the food is good. one wedding at a time, and they have gardens. if weather is good the cocktail hour can be outside.

CLM is beautiful, but it doesnt have much grounds for you to take pics. Check out Swan Club.

i cannot rave enough about the SWAN CLUB!!! our wedding was a dream come true and that was largely because of the staff at the SC. they were amazing to us and everything they did was perfect...the food, the cake, the service. i really hope you liked what you saw tonight. if you have any questions, feel free to FM me.

good luck!!
