Stressing...

So i have about 10 months to plan everything! I think we are going to book hall next week but then there is everything else! is it possible to get it all done??

I started at the end of August for a June wedding- just about 10 months for me, too!

I, too, had about 10 months from the time I booked the hall. You may even be able to get better rates, btw, if you book within the year mark - so use that to your advantage!!

As far as getting it all done... just prioritize and you'll see things will start falling into place. Booking the venue is HUGE, and once you have that set, you'll feel so much better - you'll see!

And I STARTED looking at venues at the 10 months mark! We didn't book till about 9.5

Thanks!! I feel better :).. i see a lot of girls on here are sending out STD for November/ December weddings and i felt so behind! Im going to try to put together my to do list tonight...

i won't be sending mine out for another month, most likely - and my wedding's just a few weeks after yours. funny thing is... i didn't even think i was behind... figure as long as they go out 6 months beforehand, it's all good! :)

Yes. We got engaged Dec 2009, and married August 2010 so we planned it all in 8 1/2 months. We got all the vendors we wanted and our wedding was perfect!!!

Make cheslists. Keep organized. I has goals for each month and tried to get them all done, so I wouldnt be stressed at the end.

First hall/church
Then photo/dj/dress
bridemaid dresses
then work on flowers/limos/invitations.
then little things

Thanks !! This is great! Hopefully the booking of the hall will go through... we are going back for food tasting next week and i want to see if we can negotiate a bit. I think we got a little too excited when we last saw them and they wont budge. Anyone have any good advice on negotiating?

Hey!! i booked my hall just last week for a Sept. 2011 weddings...i felt behind too butnot any more since most of the vendors I want are to open =)

As far as negotiating i went to the hall I wanted and said it was between them and someone else but the other hall was 10 dollars a head cheaper....i asked how close they could get to that price, and then ended up coming down 6 a head!!! And then threw in some extras. I was super happy and called the next day to book!

What hall are you looking at?

No Worries !! I have 5 months before my wedding and I got a huge deal on almost everything. Some people cant believe what I got for the price... but I also had my dress 1 year ago and my bridal party is small with a simple black dress that they can pick.
Dont stress you have time and maybe u can bargain a deal !

A friend of mine has 7 months til the wedding and she has nothing planned... plus she works and goes to grad school. No worries! Just plan out a budget and your guest list and if you need anything, let us know!
