Okay everyone I need your help! I have my heart set on a ceremony over looking the water. I've so far seen Mansion at west sayville, timber point, view, riviera, and lombardi's on the sound. Of course there were things I liked and didn't but Lombardi's is my favorite. The price right now is too high for us and not sure if we will be able to get it down (I'm waiting to hear). My dream ceremony is the Riviera but I love the inside of Lombardi's. I really want that bright elegant feel of the reception and cocktail hour with a nice outside ceremony overlooking the water, so basically the inside of Lombardi's and outside of Riviera haha. Does anyone have any ideas?? I'm just getting worried I'm being too picky and I'll never find what I want! Also we would like to keep the total price pp with tax and everything around/under $120 for the Sunday of labor day weekend.

I honestly don't know what the inside if lombardi's looks like, but did you check out Thatched Cottage? You can have your ceremony outside In a gazebo on the water. Bc they only do one wedding have a time you have access to the outside for cocktail hour in addition to a large room with huge windows. The reception room also has large windows so no matter what room you're in you always have the view of the water. I'm getting married there the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend and they were one of the venues that kept Sunday pricing for the Sunday before a holiday. Other places were hanging Saturday pricing.

Don't stress you will find your perfect venue and definitely don't settle! I don't have any experience there but my FMIL just went to a wedding at Giorgios and had great things to say about it.

Have you considered a day wedding? Usually prices are cheaper. Also, I was dead set on outside ceremony & really liked crest hallow but wasn't a fan of the inside rooms so if it happened to rain & we picked the place based on the outside then we were stuck with being inside a place we didn't love.
Bridgeview is really nice. Have you looked into chateu le mar? And Venetian in Babylon?

the quotes for chateu le mer and venetian were more than the others i were getting..we wanted to do an evening because all the people traveling to give them time to get there that day without leaving super early (its only from CT)...bridgeview i'm calling tomorrow because they haven't gotten back to my online info request

What about three village inn? It's on the water but not DIRECTLY on water (you can take photos right near water, on dock, etc) and the inside is so gorgeous. It's also reasonably priced.

thanks everyone! our big problem is finding something near the water thats affordable and you don't have to guarantee a high number..we are looking to only guarantee 100 people since we have a lot of people traveling out of state
