ok so i really want to book the pedela sisters for my mom sister and I..that leaves 5 other brides maids to get their hair done(I am paying for the pedela sister to do everyones makeup as part of their gift) They cant afford the pedela sisters for hair so I need to find someone else to do all of their hair... I called ulta in holbrook and the earlist the can open for me is 9am...we all need to be ready by 930am so thats out
then I called cactus in holbrook and the lady laughed at me saying its to early to book now and its really hard to get the girls to come in early....I WAS SO MAD SHE LAUGHED AT ME and said I am doing everything way to early..LIKE ***? rude..I really like cactus and its 5 minutes from my parents house so the girls could get their hair done and the come right over and get their makeup done a my parents...but this girl made me feel so stupid so I just said I would call back...what i really want to do is call back and speak to a manager..I just dont have the balls to stick up for myself ever
I called nicold dangio and a few others for hair and number one they r more then the girls want to spend for hair..they want to spend like 75 and they r BOOKED!! I am starting to get upset and worried
what do u girls recomend doing?

well she shouldn't have laughed but honestly a salon is different than a free lance make up artist...for one they don't even know who would still be there over a year from now, at salons ppl are constantly coming and going, you are better off bc what if someone you book with leaves. ALso its different when they just work at the salon bc they don't know what their schedule will be like.
If you plan on doing it at a salon i wouldn't worry about booking it this far in advance
I agree but a simple now we arent booking yet would have been fine...I just thought it was so rude lol
I am def booking someone to come to the house for me..but for the girls its just 2 expensive so they need to go to the salon ...so i guess i will just hvave to wait till next yr to book...when do u think would be a good time?

jess, go to the salon to get a haircut or something and ask the girl cutting your hair who does updo's and ask for their info. I got my hair cut and askesd the girl who does updo's there b/c i'm looking for someone for my wedding and she says she does them and another girl. She was more than willing to come to my house in the morning. Anyone is willing to do it because it's great $$$ for them
yeah thats a great idea. i guess i will have to do that! :) Such a smart girl Jess.. it must be the name and the whole getting married on the same day

Thanks! I actually tried your approach first, called up and asked for a make-up/hair trial and they got snippy with me and told me they don't do it until 2 months before the wedding

Try Stacy Pitt ...her prices are very reasonable...i think there may be a travel fee to LI though. But she's really popular with the knottie group.
