Just venting....but I been working my as$ off on my thesis for the past 3 months. My professor said we can send her a draft by Wed. (the 15th) and she would turn it around in 48 hours (redlined). She asked us to email her. Well, I emailed her my final draft on Monday night. I didn't hear back from her by Wed., so I sent an email & left a vm saying I hope you received my email, if you didn't, I'm resending. Can you please call/email me and let me know you received it and let me know when I can expect it back.
Well it's now Saturday a.m. & I have YET to hear back from her. I left another vm on her office vm last night saying I had planned on spending the weekend rewriting/revising and PLEASE get back to me.
I'm getting PIS$ed and concerned. Our FINAL all-done-up version is due on Wed. bound and hand delivered.
WHAT SHOULD I DO?!
I can email the head of the program (someone who has taught me and who knows me on a first name basis), but she will not be in until Monday afternoon.
But I'm majorly stressing!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HELP!

Re: Stressing Major....Thesis....MIA professor
Does the faculty member or even the department have a staff/administrative assistant? If so, that person my be a very valuable source of information on Monday morning.
Otherwise, I'd have faith that you have already done a good job even without changes. Perhaps if you'd like feedback you can try to contact another student who is in the same situation to exchange papers with.
Emailing the head of the department is fine if you were looking for his/her feedback on your draft. Its probably not the greatest idea if you are looking to get your advisor in trouble.
