My fiance and I went back and forth on where to have the wedding whether in a church or at our site. He had said on a few other occassions that he would like a string quartet to play but when we decided upon the church, we were told that music would be provided if we would like. To save money, he said OK we will go with that. I know that this is something different that he would appreciate and was hoping to surprise him by having the quartet play at the church.
Since money is tight, I am not looking for the best of the best or something super pricey...even amaetur players would be nice. Does anyone know of anyone or anywhere that is reasonably priced?

Re: String Quartet
It may not hurt to check with some of the local colleges wtih music programs. I know when I was at U of Miami, the music school sometimes hired out their students, who needed performance credits to graduate, for reasonable rates, and they were really really good

Re: String Quartet
This is a great idea! I was thinking of something like this but I don't really know how to go about it. I have to look into what schools have music majors. Hmmm...

I agree with checking out local colleges...Five Towns has a very good music program, maybe look there.
