I wanted some opinions on getting a string quartet. Should I have them for my ceremony at the church or for cocktail hour???? Any Suggestions

Re: String Quartet
Make sure you check with your church. A lot of churches wont allow you to bring in a string quartet. However, I think its a fantastic idea for the cocktail hour! I'm having a piano player at my cocktail hour. I love the live music for cocktails

im thinking of adding one too. but only for the CH because I think more people will go to the RH instead of the church.

I was thinking that too but then again I have a huge family and my church is in my town so I think alot of people will be at the church I hope LOL but my sister is a teacher and she works with a bunch of music teachers who offered it to me for 200 bucks =0) She also works with someone who plays the piano and she said he is phenomenal so Im waiting to see how much he wants and if its not too much I will have him at the CH

Re: String Quartet
my sister had a string quartet at both the church and the CH. They were wonderful. I loved them at the CH, they played so beautifully and it was nice to have that kind of music in the background while everyone mingled!

I think that a sptring quartet for the ceremony is beautiful! My friend had one at her beach ceremony and it really just set the mood for the whole ceremony (almost immediately brought tears to your eyes just hearing it and seeing her walk down the aisle).

Re: String Quartet
Id say CH bc more people will be able to appreciate it. Not everyone goes to the church. If you could swing it and the Church allows it, of course it would be beautiful there too.
